Hidden Hills Wedding by Gabriel Ryan Photographers

This backyard soiree is simply beyond gorgeous with its hints of purple and lavender (check out the chiavari chairs), vintage chic details, and amazing fabric seating chart with chicken wire and mini clothespins. Really, have you ever seen such a pretty seating chart before? Each and every photograph from Gabriel Ryan Photographers has me falling completely head over heels in love with this Calabasas wedding. From Gabriel Ryan Photographers…I can’t tell you how many times we hear from engaged couples “we would LOVE to have a backyard wedding, but we just don’t know anyone with a cool backyard.”  Fortunately, for Ashley and Cory, Ashley’s aunt & uncle were thrilled at the idea of hosting the wedding at their home tucked away in the hills of Calabasas.  And the fact that their property was the perfect venue… well that was just a bonus.

From the purple chivaris, to the comfy cocktail lounge, to the chalkboard menu and made-to-order ice cream sandwiches, there were just enough details to make the event personal without being overwhelming.  It was obvious that Ashley and Cory wanted an intimate gathering and a rocking’ party where everyone could “make themselves at home.”  And thanks to the guiding hand of Lindye Galloway, a thoughtful offer from a family member and the intentional excitement from Ashley and Cory, their wedding was just that.

    Wow, thank you for the sweet words everyone! I am so glad you loved it as much as we did... especially our custom design pieces. The purple scroll fabric we used on the pieces (like the seating chat wall) was from Joann fabrics. :)

    Beautiful! I have to know how you built your seating chart wall! Did you build the frame from scratch and is it free-standing? I want to do this for my guestbook: guest polaroids clothes-pinned to chicken wire. and I am totally stumped!
