We love Wednesdays around these parts, and if you know why, you already have your cursor on the refresh button ready for its Wedding Wednesday workout. For those of you new to SMP (welcome!), we use this day as a way to crank out the pretty by showing snippets of each soiree, and then letting you get lost in each of their fabulous full galleries. See what I mean? It’s easy to see why Wednesdays have our hearts over here…

Can I tell you what also has my heart? This lovely shabby chic celebration by Shan Cunningham Photography. Hello beyond adorable flower girl! And that cake? Well it has me craving its sweetness for breakfast so much so I might just indulge. Can you blame me? The entire event is sweet as can be and don’t forget, there is even more in the full gallery of images!

From Shan Cunningham PhotographyRachele and JD were married at the beautiful Jefferson Street Mansion in Benicia, CA. Rachele did an amazing job with all of the details from her wedding!

When I met Rachele several months ago (before the Giants won the World Series and when my belly was big and round) I knew that I was going to love her. She was so sweet and reminded me of a Southern Girl from Texas! She told me her colors and I immediately went back to one of my favorite childhood (and adulthood) movies Steel Magnolias and the line where Julia Roberts says, “my colors are blush and bashful” and her mom (Sally Fields) chimes in “her colors are Pink and Pink” with the most Southern accent you can find. Anyways, if you know me, you know I love Steel Magnolias and I absolutely love all things from the South (I grew up in Texas).

This has got to be my new favorite SMP wedding! Love the Steel Magnolias references ;) Some of my favorite details are those stunning poms, the bridesmaid dresses, the bride's birdcage veil and flower, and all the pretty pastries...but everything is gorgeous! :)

I'm also desperate to know about the gorgeous hanging balls!! Where are they from....I need some in my life!!

  18. kayleigh says:

I absolutely love this wedding, then again I am biased ;) the balls were made from fabric cut outs folded twice then glued to a paper lantern. Very easy to make, yet time consuming.

  19. b says:

can you tell us how to make it??? i would LOVE to make them for my wedding!!

  20. adrian says:

    Shannon, congrats! these are beautiful!

This is one of my favorites that I've seen. The bouquets are a godsend for me because I've been searching for a photo to give my florist to show her what's in my head! Where are those bridesmaids dresses from?? Stunning and, like someone else said, dreamy!

  25. Love,Julie says:

  26. Anne says:

Love the use of the pom poms, I am making them for my wedding and they are time consuming but so rewarding each time you finish one.
    Amazing wedding

  27. Allison (soon to be Mrs Roerden) says:

I love, love, love finding this wedding! I am getting married in October in a town close by this one and i have the same bridesmaid dresses and same grey tuxes! Its so nice to see that someone else shared a similar vision with the champagne and silver color scheme (not very common). My accent color is orange and we are going with the vintage theme. :)

To answer your question about the bridesmaid dresses... they are from David's Bridal and are discontinued! They did come out with a similar replacement though.

    Beautiful wedding!!

  28. Rachele (The Bride) says:

Hey all!!! Thanks so much for the sweet comments! To answer a few questions....

the bridesmaid dresses are actually from David's Bridal

The pom balls are just made out of fabric.... underneath are the cheap chinese paper lanterns (we bought 25 of them for a dollar each online) and then went to the fabric store and picked out colors I liked. All you do is cut the fabric into 3 inch circles, fold the cirlce in half two times, and hot glue the point onto the paper lantern & continue until the ball is covered. They are inexpensive but very time consuming!!! They will take much longer than you think so if you decide to try some give yourself lots of time!

i ordered the birdcages from save-on-crafts.com ... they have a ton of stuff and the birdcages are awesome

we ordered the flower girl's dress online, i cannot remember the site, but once i have the name i will leave a comment so you know the info :)

thanks so much for all the love, our photographer and florist and everyone did an amazing job! If anyone needs more info on how to make those pom fabric balls just let me know! I'd be happy to help!

  29. Megan Stuckey says:

Beautifully done sister! Everything looks amazing, you captured their special day in a unique way sis. So proud of you! I love you!

  30. April Franklin says:

The flower girl dress is from "littlemissprincess.com" under grey party dresses.

  31. Mother of the Bride :) says:

I know I am Mother of the Bride but..... it really was an amazing wedding with a magical feeling throughout. We were blessed to have Rachele's awesome friends and family help create such a fantastic memory!! Thank you to the Father of the Bride, Bride's family, Groom and Groom's family for EVERYTHING!! Shary, flowers were beyond beautiful, Amy the cake was to die for and Shannon the photography was so "picture perfect" :) Thank you everyone blogging for the great comments.
As for the Pom (kissing) Balls, they were hand made with fabric, VERY time consuming (about 8-10 hours each), but well worth the effort put in by all. Any one interested in some slightly used (gorgeous) Pom Balls? LOL

  32. JessieJo says:

My daughter has been looking at wedding ideas on this website for two weeks....and this is the one she loves the most! How do I make those poms, the large and the small one? I actually found those exact birdcages and she was so happy.

  33. Abby l says:

Are you selling the pom balls by chance? I'm very interested.

  34. Jackie says:

Where did you find the heart shaped tray?
