Summer Murray Hill Wedding from Holly Heider Chapple Flowers

July 26th. 2011 by Mallory | Filed Under | 7 comments

It’s a Tuesday afternoon treat on the LBB blog today. This Virginia wedding is so sweet, I feel it necessary to forewarn you that you may run the risk of a toothache. The bride is beyond adorable, the lawns at Murray Hill are stunning for a summer wedding, and the personal details, captured by Genevieve Leiper Photography, were a true labor of love of the couple and their families. And the icing on this sweet little soiree’s cake? The fantastic flowers – centerpieces, bouquets, and little details to-die-for – from Holly Heider Chapple Flowers Ltd. The romance of this cute as pie affair continues in the full image gallery!

I grew up in the Northern Vignina area and absolutely love the beauty and history you can find all around. So naturally when it came time to pick a venue, it was easy. Murray Hill was in the area I wanted a place and it captured all of the things I loved so much about my home. It is an absolutely beautiful house overlooking the Potomac River with amazing grounds and scenery. Going along with NothernVirginia feel, we came up with a theme that we termed “country elegance.” Elegant but with a bit of a rustic flair.

I think one of my favorite style elements was the candy bar. We specifically wanted the table to be made with the wine barrels and I loved making the banner. Plus I love candy so what more could you ask for? Another favorite was the flat bed trailer that held the escort cards/boards made out of all different chalkboards and mirrors. Those were both a lot of fun.

On a more sentimental note, we had both of my grandfathers involved. My grandfather on my dads side officiated the ceremony which was very special for us and many of the centerpiece holders/boxes for the flowers were made by my moms dad. I loved being able to incorporate things like that among others to make it special.
