There is no doubt about it, SMP brides are the cutest out there (was there even a question?). Even cuter – when SMP brides help each other to make their inspiration a reality, like a seriously stylish community of details. Nancy Ray Photography sent over this a-dor-able wedding of an equally a-dor-able bride who connected with previous brides featured on SMP to bring all the pretty things dancing in her head to life … and within budget. The end result couldn’t be more darling and there is even more to gush about in the full gallery of images!

From the Bride…Doug and I got engaged in January of 2010. Three months later we ended up purchasing our first home. We bought a ranch from the 1960’s that needed tons of work. We decided there had to be a way to have the wedding of our dreams but also refurbish the house of our dreams. I am for sure a SMP bride, LITERALLY. It first started when I found table runners I had been searching for featured on SMP. With some hesitation, I contacted a bride from California. I sent her a facebook message. She was so amazing and so willing to help me out. I ended up buying the runners. It was amazing to realize how open other brides were.
I then contacted Katie, who was featured on SMP. We ended up meeting when she came to my town for a wedding and she let me try on her Monique Lhuillier dress. The dress was perfect and I ended up buying her dress as well. Not only was it amazing getting to meet other brides I was able to stay within a budget but still have the wedding of my dreams.
We wanted our wedding to be laid back and Southern. There is nothing more Southern than good BBQ, Grandfather Mountain as a backdrop, and dancing under twinkle lights in an outdoor pavilion. My favorite part of my wedding day was being able to eat dinner alone with Doug. We ate in a small boat house while our guests mingled at a cocktail hour. We were able to let everything sink in and watch all of our guests.

That place setting is adorable and I *love* all the confetti, right down to the rims on the glasses!!

I LOVE that they were able to eat dinner alone together. What a special moment!
beautiful wedding! Where are pink ties from? And what is the specialty drink recipe? I'm looking for something pink to serve!
So so gorgeous! And I can't get over that divine dress. That lace is insane! Is it the Tamara gown? http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/28727/Monique-Lhuillier-Tamara-Size-0.html
Jessie-
I have wondered at times if I would encounter your wedding somewhere in wedding blog land- how appropriate that it's right back on SMP, where you first encountered mine. The dress looks incredible on you, and I love seeing it back in action! I am SO glad that we were able to connect and that our (ok, ok, it's yours now) dress played such a big part in both of our weddings. Congratulations on a beautiful wedding and all the best in your marriage!
Take care,
Katie
Her dress is GORGEOUS! I really like the confetti. It's very cute :)
Those peonies are exploding. great wedding.
So pretty, I love all the colourful confetti details. Brilliant.
While I love many details of this beautiful wedding, the best detail is the alone time for dinner.
I am dying over her hair. That twist in the back is amazing! I may have to copy!! Love!
Thank you for all of the sweet comments!

Jessie and Doug will be one of the all time favorite couples of ours! We loved working with both of them. We just remember the day she told us there were going to be confetti cannons....we were a little scared but it worked out to be beautiful!
Beautiful wedding!
So happy to see the caspian blue silk tafeta Jcrew bridesmaid dresses! My bridesmaids are wearing the bow monde version next month in the same color, so excited!
Cheers!
This wedding takes my breath away! Can you let me know where you purchased the straws? So cute! Thanks and congrats!
Jen- the vendor had the tree trunk vases and cupcake stand. Sorry!
Holly- the straws are from Etsy. I cannot remember what shop but they are pretty easy to find.
Thank you again for all of the sweet comments.
I'm getting married at the same location next August! It's so beautiful there and you did an amazing job. I was wondering if you used a hairstylist from home or did you use someone up there? Thanks!
