From the Bride…Chris and I met in, of all places, Las Vegas. We were both there for a work trade-show, and although we lived far apart, the connection was immediate and the bond lasting. Starting a long distance relationship is tough. How do you plan your NEXT date? For us, there was always somewhere to go. Two years, five countries, a dozen or so trade-shows, and thousands of airline miles later, I moved from Miami to Austin so we could start our lives together.

I grew up and lived in Miami until about two years before the wedding when I moved to Austin to be with Chris.  As a new Texan, I wanted to bring a touch of Texas to the wedding for our guests.  We were able to do this by giving out jars of BBQ sauce from one of our favorite restaurants, and serving a scoop of a famous local Austin ice cream with our wedding cake. Most importantly, I had a fiancé that was incredibly helpful with all the decisions we had to make. Vendor contracts, food tastings, and opinions about the smallest things, with his reassuring smile and willingness to do whatever it took to make sure it was the wedding I always dreamed of, Chris was the perfect partner.

Our wedding day was more special than we could have ever imagined.  Every moment of our day was emotional, thrilling and fun at the same time.  I always thought I would be an emotional mess, but my excitement shone through.  I looked like the bride I always wanted to be, married the man of my dreams and we put on an amazing showcase of our love for our family and friends.
