E-Session by Steven Moore Designs + Michele M. Waite

We just love a good e-session around these parts. It makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside to get a glimpse into the love and lives of newly engaged couples. And when those newly engaged couples just happen to include the extremely holy-cow amazingness that is Steven Moore of Steven Moore Designs? Well, that just makes us giddy galore! What we are loving most about this session captured by Michele M. Waite is how personal it is. Jamie, Steven’s fiancée, is a rock your socks off baker, so she made all the pies and tarts. How extremely adorable and delicious is that? And since Steven is a beyond amazing event designer, he designed their session to personalized perfection. From Steven Moore: Jamie was a bridesmaid in a wedding I designed last spring.  My client insisted that I fly from Washington state to NYC to meet this girl that she was certain I was going to love.  I still don’t know how she knew Jamie and I would be such a great fit, but we met and  fell in love. Jamie moved across the country, then we got engaged and now we are planning  our wedding for this October. As an event designer with experience styling fashion shoots, I knew I wanted to style something beautiful, but more importantly I wanted to showcase our passions and personalities. This shoot was very ‘us.’ Jamie and I both love fashion navy and white stripes, music, design, and delicious baked goods.  Jamie is an incredible baker, so she made the pie and tarts.  I made the cake, her navy skirt and pulled elements from my personal collection to create the scene. Extra personal touches include using the same picnic basket we took on the picnic where I first told Jamie I loved her,  pillows we made from fabric that Jamie brought me the day she moved from New York to Washington, and the sofa Jamie was sitting on when I proposed to her.  Even the piano, which I sourced on Craigslist, was perfect with ‘New York’ – the city where we first met- printed clearly above the keys. Although it was amazing taking these pictures, and just spending that evening getting to hold her and capture this special season in our life, my favorite part was what happened for weeks before the shoot.  Working together to create something beautiful, defining the lifestyle we want to live, shopping for just the right elements, laughing and having an amazing time, and all along growing closer together and stronger as a team.  I can’t wait for October 15th when I get to marry my best friend.

   i absolutely love this engagement sesh! so unbelievably gorgeous and i love how steven pulled in aspects of the couple's personality and relationship into the design itself...well done! super stunning photography as well by michele waite! the last photograph on the piano is stunning!

   I absolutely adore the small memories that make it into engagement photos! THe picnic basket from when he first said "I love you," is swoon-worthy romantic!
