When I spotted this wedding for the first time, I thought it was stunning. Beyond stunning. One of those weddings that takes it a step further from the traditional rustic fare and is infused with so many thoughtful, gorgeous details. And then I saw the dream team behind this day and it all made sense. The ladies of Bash, Please have completely out done themselves with this gem and its rustic meets organic inspired design. And who better to capture such pure eye candy than Amy and Stuart Photography? This is sure to jump to the top of your all time favorites list. Click here to see so much more.

From Bash, Please…Kathryn and James wanted a Tuscan, Italian, foodie-style wedding as a nod to her family’s heritage and their time in Europe. The reception was held at Sony Studios in Culver City so we transformed the commissary into an outdoor cafe with lots of herbal, organic inspiration in her flowers and design. We used sprigs of rosemary as her escort cards because Rosemary is the herb of “fondremembrance”. Her favorite color is lavender, so we mixed that with touches of greens and whites. We made “Mr. and Mrs.” signs for their chairs out of rosemary sprigs. We adorned their cake with an olive branch and lavender. For their guest book, Kathryn and James collected vintage travel post cards to reflect their love of travel, and guests left love notes on them. We gave the bride and groom a gift of a vintage lock and key with a quote that read “I will lock myself in your heart forever”. We brought in Found Vintage Rentals to create vignettes around the dance floor for a European lounge. Lots of vintage pewter and medicine bottles were used for their florals as well.
From the Bride…From the beginning we wanted our wedding to reflect where we came from. Paige and Kelly of Bash, Please and Jaime Pona at Wolfgang Puck did an amazing job of taking our vision and making it a reality! From the delicious Italian food to the Motown cover-band (a nod to my father who was born in Detroit), and the inclusion of James’ favorite beer at the beer bar (which is brewed near his hometown in upstate New York) – everything had a personal touch. I couldn’t have been happier with how everything came together!
