Let’s face it. Europe is always way ahead of us here in the U.S. when it comes to cool stuff that makes sense. Take Zankyou for instance, the number one online wedding service in Europe. With just a few clicks on their website you can set up your own free personal wedding website AND create a cash wedding registry. And get this, their handling fees are among the lowest at only 2.85%. That’s less than PayPal! Pretty sweet, right?

When you create a gift registry with the brilliant people of Zankyou, the cash value of the gift gets deposited into your bank account. So you can finally say adios to registry regret and stop beating yourself up for that panini press you knew you would never use! With Zankyou, you get to decide how and when to use your cash gifts. And they even have a super cool catalog that allows you to register for anything from a blender to a honeymoon. And you can totally stay on top of what’s coming into your account with their super simple gift management tool which even lets you respond with thank you’s! I know, amazing, right? But maybe you just wanna stash the cash for a rainy day and that’s cool too! Anything goes here people! And that’s why we love Zankyou!

Having an international wedding? Lucky you! Zankyou is available in fifteen different countries and offers services in six languages. Zankyou also has the lowest processing fee on the internet. How’s that for smart? It’s no wonder that 98% of couples in the U.S. say they would recommend it to their friends! And there’s no need to worry about your funds getting lost because they are super secure through Thawte (Verisign). And our friends at Zankyou have safely handled literally tens of thousands of wedding gifts worldwide since 2007. Still have questions? Drop them a line at 845-373-6524 or email. So go ahead and do yourself and your globetrotter guests a favor and register with Zankyou. Your friends and family will think you’re absolutely brilliant! xoxo

Neat idea! When I got married it was popular to do a gift card shower. On the invite there were a list of places you'd like gift cards and everyone would bring them and put them in a decorative basket or bird cage or... This is similar but really neat!

My fiancee and I are getting married this summer in Paris. My fiancee is French and I'm American so it was difficult for us to find a gift registry that worked in both countries. A friend told me about Zankyou and its just what we were looking for. Both our guests and families from both countries can contribute to our cash gift registry and the free wedding page also lets our friends know everything about our wedding. Thank you ZANKYOU!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing SMP, I had been shopping around for an online wedding registry. The 2.85% seems like the lowest I've seen so far among other services. I was a bit concerned about asking for cash gifts but this seems like a good way to manage wedding etiquette and what we really want. I contacted Zankyou and they were quick about getting back to me and really helpful. Thanks!

I love this idea! So good to not have to create one, two or even more lists in different stores!!! It´s completely fair to charge the 2,85% as they don´t charge for the website!! Great idea! Congrats!!!

Rachel, where does the gift card shower idea come from? I've never heard of it. Intrigued.

I saw this canvas tree invitation on Etsy and it make me think of your gift card decorative cage: http://www.etsy.com/listing/75696909/canvas-wedding-tree-18x24

  8. Lea says:

We looked into using zankyou but never found any independent reviews... meaning feedback not on their website. If anyone knows someone who has used them I would appreciate hearing about it.

    @Lea,

    hey there,
I used Zankyou during my wedding planning and it was such a great help!
There were people from multiple nations coming to our wedding so keeping everybody up to date w/ a wedding website that is available in many languages was AWESOME, plus the registry is included and you can even create your own gifts, you are not bound to the internal registry. You can upload pictures, videos, even let people RSVP on there and have a guestbook. I LOVED IT! :)

2.85%? Wow that is low. Do they accept credit cards? If so, how do they pay their credit card processing bill? I just read they charge about $10 to request your gifts so maybe that's the catch. Overall super cool but I think they need to be more transparent with All of their fees and the site design could use a serious update.

  11. Jane says:

Hi Joanne, thanks for your comment. Zankyou does accept credit cards, Mastercard and Visa. The first transfer to your account is free, but any additional transfers have a cost of 9.75 USD. We encourage couples to transfer their funds in one lump sum to avoid this additional transfer cost. So, if you entrust the 2.85% handling fee to your guests and you only use one transfer, then the cost of using Zankyou is actually free. You can always contact us as info@zankyou.com for more information. Thank you also for your feedback. We are working on a new release so stay tuned!

  12. Scout says:

This reminds me of sendusoff.com. It's a site that allows you to register for things like train tickets or admission to Graceland!

I saw a bunch of reviews on wedding wire and seems legit.
