From the crazy talented bride… When Jeremy and I envisioned our wedding day, we wanted it to be really personal. I’m a designer and he’s a song writer, so we spent a lot of time and energy on pretty visuals and our music selection. I own a boutique and we chose to host our ceremony on the third floor of our building, above my shop. The space is open with huge windows and peeling wallpaper. The ceilings are partially exposed. It’s a really amazing old building. We loved the idea of holding our ceremony here because we knew we’d be the first couple ever to get married in that spot! Our aisle was covered in white feathers and the flower girls threw colored feathers as they walked down the aisle.
My sister walked down the aisle with her puppy. That was our “something borrowed” from a friend’s wedding last year. Our family has a love for pugs (we have three) so I’m happy that one of them got to walk down the aisle!
For the dresses I chose vintage lace inspired dresses with bright jewel toned tights. The girls had amazing beehives and looked like they came straight out of a 50s movie! My dress was by Orla Kiely. She’s my all time favorite designer, so it only seemed right.
After our rehearsal dinner we had a bouquet making party. All of the girls made their own bouquet. I loved how each one was different. We made velvet flowers and mixed them with roses, daisies and feathers. I made all the boutonnieres with pretty feathers I found on Etsy. They were really fun to make and even cuter than flowers, I thought. I made my grandmothers’ corsages with feathers and vintage brooches and our mothers’ bouquets with feather birds.
Our reception was styled with vintage lamps, lace and jewel tones. My favorite details were the raspberry cupcakes and the hand painted holga cameras on the tables. We chose signature cocktails and my favorite was the raspberry mojito. For dinner, we chose heart shaped pancakes.
My favorite memory from the reception was when we were dancing. I told Jeremy that I was so happy and he said, “I’m sad it’s almost over.” I thought that was cute. Always a good thing to hear from your husband after so many long months of wedding planning!
In our memories the day has a warm glow about it. We loved every moment!

I usually never comment on here (keep my ooh-ing and ahh-ing to myself), but this wedding is just WOW.
I love the pompom flower backdrop to the ceremony! Wish I'd seen that before planning my own backdrop. It could also be a great photobooth background. Just fabulous!!
The bride's whihte hairpiece is lovely! And this entire wedding looks like a style shoot. I'm loving it.
Wow that backdrop is INCREDIBLE!!! I love this!
I am 100% in love with this wedding!!! It's personal, fun, and the kind of beautiful "mess" that makes my eyes and my heart happy!!! So glad she shared this wedding. Swoooooon. xoxo

P.S If you've never hear Elisie's husband sing, you must check it out, he's amazing!!!
How freakin cool is that ceremony backdrop?! and the bridal party styling is completely fabulous. I love it.
Not my style, so I won't say anything negative on someone's special day. It's special and beautiful to them and that's all that matters. I do, however, absolutely love the photography!
Just an amazing use of colour, some really great inspiration here for brides!
Wow, so beautiful. I wish my everyday life looked even 10% this good. Such style and creativity in that couple!
So amazing! I love every last little detail.
wow so colourful and creative
This is my favorite wedding EVER on SMP. Soo much character here. I usually just quickly browse the weddings on your site and they all begin to look the same to me, but this one stands out! Love it.
This is amazing... I am smitten with all the colors. Love how the couple made it really reflect their personalities. Well done!
I love this. *Truly* unique and distinctive, without some of the easy tricks people sometimes incorporate in a wedding like this. They have a wonderful style and every element is so spot-on! Those photographers must have been in heaven!
gorgeous wedding, elsie!
I love all the colors and cute details! and you know, I did not like that dress on the BHLDN model but it looks so amazing "in person," especially the way she styled it! It's perfect and as I am wearing a short dress for my wedding in Oct, totally inspiring too.
What a great wedding! I love the ecclectic details! The venue...I LOVE! <3 Yo
Elsie's is one of my favorite blogs, so I was so, so excited to see her wedding featured on SMP!! Fabulous.
Talk about doing it your own way and letting your personality shine through! I love this!

LOVE THIS!!!! Love how personal and fun it is! I know a lot of hard work went into it. Gives me a little more confidence to know that my fiance and I can pull off our own.

These colours are amazing!! Love the tights on the bridesmaids, so cute!
So stylish and eclectic! It's cool to see people create weddings that speak to who they are.
Love it! Totally colourful and eclectic and delightful in every way! As a paper-person I love the backdrop and the colourful confetti. Every photo made me smile!
Loving! What a delighful wedding; colourful eceltic and altogether funkalicious! As a paper person I'm in love with their paper backdrop and the confetti! Wouldn't it be wonderful if more people felt they could express who they are on their wedding day rather than fit themselves into a box they think they should be in?
THIS is what I've been looking for!!! Quirky, artsy, fun, original, colorful....AWESOME!!!!!
Does anyone know what the first song in the video is?
this is a hipster mess.
but to each his/her own.
Amazing job! Love it!

The French Bouquet: Fabulous European-Inspired Florals
This is such a lovely wedding! I love all of it! Every detail points to their personal taste and creativity! Ingenious how they were able to pull it all off and with style!!!!!!!!!!!!
They must have saved thousands on their simple but very extraordinary wedding!!
Thank you so much for sharing your very special wedding!!!
Every little detail is spectacular in the most uniquely creative way. The bridesmaids' hair, the flower girls, the PUG!!! I'm blown away!
I came across this wedding on 100 layer cake blog and needed to see more! this wedding is one of my favorites to date! Love it!
What a fun and colorful wedding, unlike any other wedding I've seen! The image of the couple holding up "forever & ever" was such a sweet touch! This couple definitely stayed true to themselves. Love it!
Just adorable!
sweet hipster wedding
I've never watched a complete stranger's wedding video with tears streaming down my face. Most beautiful, personal wedding ever. Thank you for sharing your moment.
Wow, gorgeous wedding. Like others have said, I've never been so touched by the footage of a strangers wedding. Wishing you both a happy happy life together!!
Where are those grey chevron chairs from? Super cute.
Absolutely beautiful. Never have I felt so emotional over a wedding where I don't even know the people involved! Thankyou so much for sharing this x
i love how colorful this wedding is. lovely <3 thanks for sharing! happy summer
fantastic! the photos, the words, the video.
That is in one word.......AMAZING!!!!!!! Ok, also....WOW!!!!!
LOVE this wedding. I appreciate any wedding that breaks the mold and I applaud this couple's unique style. I didn't even wear a white wedding dress when I got married, so I definitely love seeing creative weddings!
Oh my God! Is so beautiful!! So lovely! I loved!!
Yay! I love the bold splashes of color in the wedding attire. The belt and bow in non-matchy hues, plus the signature tights create a refreshing and individualized motif. What fun and flair!
The sweetest couple ever!
Just lovely!
Words cannot express how much I love this wedding. :)
Adorable. There are so many clever ideas. Loved the small logs slitted with the cards for place cards. The tights made bridesmaids very cute and perky. Great presentation. Thank you.
Amazing Pics!!! I really love them!
The blue hair IS awesome!
wish my wedding was that beautiful :(
I love the colors and little whimsical details...the vintage thing is pretty nice, although it's becoming all too common. My fav part about this wedding...simplicity!
So nice that she invited Marge Simpson to be a bridesmaid!
I totally agree with "jen says: this is a hipster mess." Not to mention, this is Elsie's second marriage. It was not a tasteful occasion for a divorcée. But when you consider the content of Elsie's blog, she is more of a "crafty" person than she is a design or fashion-forward person. So the "crafty" and hodge-podge styling of her wedding makes sense for her, I guess. Also, considering the content of her blog, taste is a very precarious and overly presumptuous concept for Elsie anyway. Her styling is pretty laughable. It's always good for a giggle.
