A huge and hearty welcome to anyone that is popping on to Style Me Pretty after watching CBS Sunday Morning. We were humbled, thrilled and beyond giddy about the feature and thought we’d take a moment to share a little bit more about Style Me Pretty and what we’re all about. So grab that third cup of coffee, kick your feet up and enjoy some serious pretty.
Everyday we feature real weddings. Not your average, run of the mill weddings. We feature hold-your-breath gorgeous weddings. Weddings that give you chills, that make you smile and cry (possibly at the same time), that give you a glimpse into just how beautiful that big day can be. Here are a few of our favorites to date. First up, a Jose Villa stunner…that just might make you gasp out loud.
We are probably the biggest fans on the planet of Jose Villa and it is because of images like this little work of art. The above wedding is one that has been shared around the web a million times though we were lucky enough to feature first. You can fall in love with the whole Montecito wedding here. Next up, an insanely love Sayulita wedding photographed by the fab Sarah Yates. Click here to see the full wedding and here to see the gallery of images.

Cooling things down a bit, this snowy Utah wedding by is about as romantic as they come. Shot by Leo Patrone, we cozied up a little closer to our hubbies after we took one look at it. Click here to see even more from the galleries.

Next, a mountaintop shindig that is oh so colorful and still one of our favorites to date. Photographed by Leah McCormick, this wedding was the definition of Style Me Pretty…a perfect combination of spunk, beauty and total personality. Click here to see the full gallery.
San Francisco just might be one of the best little gems in California, especially when it plays host to a wedding like this whimsical number. Between the chandeliers, the insanely beautiful florals and a design by Amazae Special Events that gets me every time I look at it…this wedding quickly soared to the top of our favs list. Click here to see the full gallery.
Up next, a Los Angeles Wedding that made our hearts flutter, our giddiness go bananas and our wedding envy kick into high gear. Something about the pops of gorgeous color, the touches of handmade goodness tucked into total elegance and a bride and groom that was crazy in love. Photographed by Erin Hearts Court, this little beauty had us at hello. Click here for more!

And when it comes to gorgeous weddings, the dream team of Lisa Vorce, Aaron Delesie and Mindy Rice know how to do it right. And they completely nailed this next one. It was wedding built for exclusively for two, so the luxe details were above and beyond your run of the mill gorgeous wedding. This affair took the term stunning to an entirely new level. Here are more pics in our gallery.
So there you have it. The real weddings that make up the heart and soul of our business, that give our readers something incredible to look forward to each and every day. Weddings that inspire and excite and encourage brides to buck tradition and do things their own way. But real weddings are only the first half of SMP. We are a blog about inspiration. From the moment that ring is placed on her finger, we provide the tools that every girl (or boy) needs to plan their perfect day.
Starting with our Little Black Book of Vendors and the blog devoted completely to their genius…carefully curated to feature only the best wedding vendors in each city, our Little Black Book offers brides a chance to skip through the craziness of other vendor lists and sift through designers and talent that SMP has given their style stamp of approval. We have vendors in nearly every major metropolitan area with a reach as far as Australia. Our LBB vendors are the best of the best and we thank our lucky stars every day to have the support that they have given us.
Next up, our inspiration board builder…using the tens of thousands of images in our galleries or importing those that you have saved to your computer, our board builder allows you to bring your many loves into one cohesive space. So that you can edit your style, create a focused wedding look and ensure that each and every one of your vendors is on the same page when it comes to design. Share it with your friends on Facebook or save it in your own dashboard to ensure that the inspiration never ends. Our tool was custom built to allow brides to really get their hands dirty when dreaming up the perfect wedding.
And speaking of galleries, we now have over 150,000 images tucked neatly into our photo galleries. They are organized by color, by category and by subject so you can quickly and easily find exactly what you are looking for. Use the images to build an inspiration board or save them to your account for future inspiration, the choice is yours!
Our Look Book is a chance for brides to do a little wedding gown window shopping before they commit to the real deal. With designers like Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Amsale and our newest fav, Anthropologie’s BHLD, our Look Book is a seamless, magazine style tool that allows you to flip through wedding fashion’s latest collections. From wedding gowns to bridesmaids dresses, wedding accessories to flower girl attire and jewelry, our Look Book has your style totally covered.
So what’s all this gorgeousness to a bride who is planning her wedding in Houston, Texas or Miami, Florida and wants to find this level of inspiration right in her own backyard? Well, we recently introduced our Local Blogs to solve that little problem and give brides a place to get ideas in their home state. We’ve started with California, Florida, New York, Texas and a Destination site though the plan is to roll out 5 new local blogs every few months
And although we’ve barely scratched the surface of SMP (Seriously. Check out our partnership with Wedding Paper Divas, our DIY projects and our From Inspiration to Reality feature), we’ve gone and turned your Sunday into a world of wedding goodness. And hopefully, have given you a glimpse into what SMP is all about. We are a site that thrives on beauty, that wants brides and wedding junkies alike to find something new and innovative each and every time they visit. We love weddings and we wholeheartedly believe that a perfect wedding is within reach for every bride.
Thanks for stopping by! Now grab yourself a mimosa and enjoy this lovely Sunday.

Just watched Sunday Morning on CBS - I never miss it - love that show ...it prompted me to check out your site so you did well getting advertised there.........sadly I am not getting married but I will check out your site..congratulations on your success.
Abby, Congrats on the spectacular CBS Sunday Morning segment. Great inspiration for bloggers everywhere!
Loved the segment! I just had my wedding in March and I was definitely one of your 700,000 viewers a month since I got engaged! You're webiste makes me want to get married over and over again :) Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow! Congratulations on the segment! It was wonderful! No, I'm not getting married or planning a Wedding, I just LOVE to stop by for design inspiration! Keep up the beautiful work!
Abby Mazal Tov on your site! I too watch 'Sunday Morning' on CBS and would get upset if I miss it (I don't have a DVR) because I wouldn't want to miss out on the info like your website.
I myself am not married but have five weddings to attend this year with four left to go! I just emailed my friends who are having the weddings about your website. I know they would love it as I do.
Quick question for you: Out of the four weddings I have left to attend two of them our on the same weekend one on Saturday (which I'm a bridesmaid) in South New Jersey at night and the other one the next day on Sunday in Long Island at 1:00 pm. Any advice on how I survive the wedding on Sunday and make it their on time?
Hi Abby and team,
Perfect timing and great PR! Congrats! I'm a mother of the bride (not a bridezilla) who just wasted 4 months learning the realities of destination wedding planning (inside commission deals between "planner" and lackluster hotel coordinator) and now have decided to bring the intended island theme to a wedding in MA rather than head to a site unseen venue tp be wedding #4 on one day.
I have passed along your site to my daughter and her fiance who is very 'engaged' (haha) in its planning. We will be looking for unique ideas, menus, etc. to avoid the formulaic, everyone's done that type event, like a Steel Pan player w music from Bob Marley to James Taylor, Caribbean food stations, spice packages for favors, etc. Her first challenge is budgeting.. understanding and coming to grips with the myriad of wedding related expenses that must show up on the Excel spreadsheet... like gratuities across the board, postage/invitations, table decor, etc.
We'll be back I'm sure! Cheers! LB
Oops, one more thing. Photographers' websites offer both an indication of their work, but also great ideas for weddings. My client's wedding on a Newburyport farm really caught our eye, and I wanted to share the work of her photographer to others who may find style ideas in this pictorial wedding story:
http://www.bluelimephoto.com/index2.php?v=v1 ('swoon' is hers but there are others of equal inspiration).
Happy to share... enjoy!

friend told me about your blog after she saw it on CBS Sunday Morning. My son is getting married and I am researching different outfits for groom and groomsmen for a garden wedding. Disappointed that the Look Book didn't have a section for the men. It seems to be a little discussed topic. I flipped through numerous wedding magazines only to find very few pictures of the men.
I will keep searching. I am glad however to have found your blog. thanks CBS.
Congrats Abby and to everyone at SMP! What exciting news and such a wonderful and interesting piece on CBS Sunday Morning!!
