I hope you’re ready for a phenomenal week of wedding bliss, LBBers, because it’s Monday morning and we’ve got quite the line up this week. First on the agenda, Seattle. Oh Seattle. There is a reason lovely people like Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks flock to you. And thank you so very much for teaming up with FS Photography to let us in on the secret. The dreary, rainy skies. The vibrant, vibrant green. The ever stylish populace. All of which, beautifully displayed in this wedding. This stunning, exceptional wedding. It’s pretty much the best. So, LBBers, grab your umbrella and continue this love affair with Seattle at FS Photography’s blog!

From FS Photography … This was a beautiful intimate Seattle wedding. The couple’s story is pretty extraordinary: they met while Dario, an Argentinian, was living and working near Seattle. Marta is Polish, but was working in London at the time. Facebook was involved in their introduction. I believe they were “friends of friends” and were somehow introduced through Facebook. It is a modern romance we may start seeing more of!
They elected to have a small ceremony in Seattle, with most of the guests travelling from abroad. It was a typical grey and drizzly Seattle day, but we had some great indoor locations to work with. We were able to do a number of portraits with the bride & groom at their hotel, Hotel Alexis, before moving to the ceremony/reception location at the Palace Ballroom. The ballroom itself has a rather industrial feel, but it warmed right up with the ample candle light and natural woods used to decorate the space. The Palace Ballroom is run by the notable Seattle restaurant Palace Kitchen, so the food was expectedly amazing.
One of the most unique qualities of this wedding from our perspective was the bride’s dress and shrug, which she wore beautifully! It matched the natural and muted tones of the ceremony venue so well.
