Rise and shine my friends! It’s time to begin another beautiful, wedding filled week. We want you to have an amazing Monday so we are starting it off right with this gorgeously girly, peony-filled Hawaiian wedding. Things to note: the to-die-for backyard, the cutest little flower girls in tutus, the beyond fantastic flower garlands, the two-hundred Monarch butterflies that were released during the first kiss…I could go on and on but I’ll let the pretty pretty photographs from Alana Couch do the talking. And for even more island inspiration, head over to the gallery!

I am that girl who has dreamt of my wedding since I was 5. I married my best friend that I have known for 11 years on Feb 18 2011.I wanted something simple, unique and very pretty! We choose to have it at my family home in Kona, Hawaii but all of the decor would be inspired by “overgrown garden”. I made all of the table numbers out of old novels from flea markets and address numbers, we made all the chalk boards and used burlap and twine to accent jars , books and bouquets. We white washed everything to give it a softness. All of the mason jars were from my mother’s canning room. We decided to have a novel as a guest book at each table so guests could get creative with their messages. We shipped all the candy on the candy bar from Canada, it was all our favorites! My dream was to have peonies everywhere, the florist had to fly them in from Holland! No two arrangements were the same, we used pennies in cases, because they are lucky!!! A flower curtain was made from orchids which we walked through. Our mail box was hand made for us as a wedding gift. My something old was my great great grandmothers rosary, which was wrapped in my bouquet. I bought all of my bride’s maid Pyrrah seals and had them wrapped in their bouquets from them. Seventy of our closest friends and family came to big day. My 5 year old niece Savannah Grace and Nyah were my flower girls, they wore Tutu’s made by a friends mom. We had a perfect ceremony and as we kissed, my parents released 200 monarch butterflies which all flew to our bouquets. It was so amazing. The rain didn’t stop anyone from celebrating , we all danced the night away! It was a dream come true, the only thing missing was our dog!

Oh my word, I am in LOVE with the bridesmaid's dresses! They no longer appear on Anthropologie's website, so if anyone knows where to get them, let me know!
