Delray Beach Wedding by Kat Braman

June 6th. 2011 by Emilia Jane | Filed Under | 5 comments

This couple had the right attitude while planning their Delray Beach wedding.  They focused on what was most important to them like finding the right venue.  And what a cute venue they found!  A sweet retreat with cabins for friends and family, gorgeous palm trees and dancing under the stars.  With the perfect venue, and as much love as this couple obviously has for one another, you don’t need to worry too much about details.  The details that they did worry about, however, turned out really, really great like the fun silver bowls from IKEA filled with succulents and the beautiful bouquets.  Kat Braman photographed this simply lovely event and gave the couple the idea for the venue too!  Click here to see the full gallery!

From the Bride… Scott and I are entertainers. On any given weekend you will find friends and family gathered in our home laughing, dancing or just laying on the couch watching movies. From this we’ve learned that having a great party isn’t so much in the details as much as it is in just having the right venue. We wanted a wedding location that made its own statement and that made our guests feel comfortable and welcome.

After a couple of months of searching, our wedding planning process started falling into place the moment I stumbled onto Kat Braman’s photography blog/website. I immediately fell in love with a secret garden-like venue where she had shot a wedding. After a quick e-mail I learned that the spot was a private venue, though, she said that I should check out the Sundy House, because it might be exactly what I was looking for. Turns out it was. With perfectly manicured foliage, trees and flowers, there was absolutely nothing I could do to make the Sundy House more beautiful than it already was. That left me with more time to focus on the party! After just a click of the mouse we had not only found the perfect wedding venue but an amazing photographer all at the same time.

The day of the wedding couldn’t have been any better for either of us. The boys hung out poolside most of the day, while the girls primped and gossiped in a nearby room. All eleven cottages were booked by friends and family which made the compound practically ours for the day. Marrying the love of my life under the canopy of two royal palms and and a spectacular array of blooming flowers and plants was every bit of a dream come true. Dancing the night away under the stars (with the exception of a perfectly short little rain storm at the end of the night) with the people that we hold dearest in the world was, as one guest put it, “Proof that Cinderella fairy tales really do come true.”
