Okay grooms, listen up. We don’t usually hear a lot from you (even though we’d love to!) but we have heard our brides commenting on our pink weddings over and over. They seem to wish and hope and pray that you will be down with the whole pretty in pink feel for the big day. It can totally be done tastefully and can look fantastic – like this Virginia plantation wedding, sent to us from MyDeejay. Growing Wild Floral Co. and Catering by Windows has taken the rose, fuchsia, and blush inspiration and turned it into a masterpiece even the macho-est of men can get on board with. Don’t believe me? From Evan of MyDeejay … This wedding was such a pleasure to be a part of. Cassandra and Ricardo were adorable and their friends and family were really in the mood to dance once the sun went down. Janice Carnevale from Bellwether Events put together an amazing team and managed everything brilliantly, which let me focus on my core job of making sure everyone had a fabulous time. The couple kept all of the traditional formalities on the program and everything was executed perfectly. It was a great start to what I’m sure will be a long and happy marriage!

On a gorgeous September afternoon, Ricardo and I were married in the Virginia suburbs at Saint Timothy’s Catholic Church. After mass (where we had the my dad’s only request – a bagpiper) guests were shuttled to Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg for cocktails, dinner and dancing.
Upon arrival at the Oatlands, the guests picked up their escort card from a moss covered table and signed the guest book – a photo book of Italy, where we would soon be honeymooning. A classical guitarist played in the background while guests mixed and mingled.
After inviting the guests to join us in the tent for dinner, the wedding party was introduced, grace was said and my dad offered his welcome remarks, bringing a smile to everyone’s faces. There was a two course plated meal, followed by a port tasting, cake and champagne, a surprise (for Ricardo) ice cream bar, cordials with coffee AND giant chocolate chip cookies to send guests on their way at the end of the night.

Thank you so much, Style Me Pretty, for featuring my client's wedding. Cassandra, her mother Dodi and I worked on it for many months, and I think it turned out wonderfully!
Gorgeous! Love the pink and navy! :)
So gorgeous! Awesome to see so many amazing DC vendors that made this happen- such great inspiration! Janice, you rocked it again!
Thanks for featuring this wedding! Cassandra's wedding garter is such a fun story - On the day of her wedding, Cassandra didn't have "something borrowed," so luckily her awesome wedding planner, Janice from Bellwether Events, was quick thinking and let her borrow a stylish garter that I designed for Janice's emergency kit. Cassandra got her "something borrowed" and "something blue" all in one the day of her wedding! Thanks again :)
What a gorgeous wedding! Love all the fuchsia! Bellwether Events did such a superb job! And - beautiful photography also! Thanks mydeejay for sharing this event!
Isn't this one stunning? Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it beautiful! It was our pleasure featuring it:)
Love it! Thank for the terrific feature and lovely write up. :)
Woohoo!! I absolutely love this!! Everyone did such an amazing job. Best day of my life, truly!
Cute! THe fuschia is well done!
Beautiful! Congrats!
What an incredible wedding this one was...Evan actually raved about the beautiful details, the wonderful vendor team, and of course, the amazing bride and groom! It was such a treat for me to see all the beautiful photos after the fact. Congratulations Cassandra and Ricardo!
Amazing first shot, with the stain glass and her silhouette
stunning! I love the centerpieces and the sweet flower tucked in the napkin.
The bagpiper is awesome! And the pink definitely is tasteful and not overdone in any way. The final photo is beautiful as well... Think my husband would go for a third wedding? ;]
I love your hairstyle! How was it done it the back? It looked like there was some kind of twist or clip back there.
@Amy, if you discover the secret to getting another wedding without switching husbands, let us know!!
@mrswaggy, isn't her hair gorgeous? Hopefully she'll check in and let us all know how it was done!
Thank you!! :) Christine Sather @ Valon Salon did my hair! She pulled half up/parted it and poofed it in the front and then wrapped the little pieces in the back into curls and held them all there with bobby pins. She did the same with the bottom half, just curled it and pulled it to the side and held it with bobby pins! I didn't have a preference just wanted it up and off my face! She did such a great job! :)
Such a beautiful wedding! So glad we were apart of it with such great event partners! Wishing Cassandra and Ricardo a lifetime of happiness!
Fabulous and romantic bridal portrait with an imposing stained glass window as a background. Love the glowing back light in the last image, highlighting a special moment between the newly wed couple. Very creative.
