I just love me a good Mexico wedding on the beach. I seriously can’t get enough of them and their stormy skies and effortlessly hip design. I go nuts for them each and every time! And when they just so happen to be designed by AE Planning + Design and photographed by Paco and Betty, well then I just go into a total wedding blogger tizzy! Check out my favorites below, but don’t miss out on the fiesta going on right now in the gallery.

From AE Planning & Design: Jamie and Justin live in San Francisco and really wanted to have a destination wedding in a warm location. Originally they were interested in Puerto Vallarta but the gals at AE Planning + Design encouraged them to also check out the Riviera Maya area of Mexico for comparison. They fell in love with the area and Le Reve Hotel specifically. They decided to buy out the hotel for the weekend to create an intimate setting for all their loved ones. They invited their closest friends and family for a weekend long affair.
Their ceremony was held on the beach before sunset and guests cocktailed around the pool before heading into the restaurant for dinner. The escort cards were attached to bottles of hot sauce for the guests to take home. Each table was named after one of the couple’s many pets and they did custom paintings of each pet for the table signage. Guests dined on Tikin Xix fish (a Mayan traditional dish) and roasted chicken with local vegetables. After dinner, everyone danced to a custom playlist assembled by Justin and Jamie. Guests then retreated late night to a bonfire on the beach.

Do you know the artist that did the pet portraits?? Thanks!
I am so ridiculously jealous of all the gorgeousness!!! Her dress is perfect for her and the location, the color scheme is just to die for! I cannot stop looking at it; contemporary, cool, and just perfect together! This gallery is like a cool glass of water, and a little sunshine on a rainy day. Thanks so much for posting this!
I believe the bride and groom did the portraits of the pets. Talk about talent!
This is absolutely dreamy!
Love the pet portraits... too cute!
What an incredible place to have a wedding!
Amazing! What a picture perfect wedding. I love the florals with her dress and the natural setting. The hotel looks incredible. Bravo! Wouldn't expect anything less from a hip SF couple!!!

Need those shoes, where are they from?
Awesome pics..
Is that a French Bulldog we spot?! LOVE.
Do you think the bride and groom would provide their contacts if we wanted pet portraits as well?
Hi ladies, Hopefully the bride checks out all the comments and answers some of your questions as we posted all the info we received. Glad you all love the wedding just as much as we do!
breathtaking! the details are just gorgeous!
what a beautiful destination wedding, mexican weddings always seem to be so gorgeous!
stunning
Bride here. Thanks so much everyone for the kind comments! The shoes are Diane von Furstenberg 'Eva' Scarf Tie Sandals, I believe you can still buy them from Nordstrom. The necklace was lovingly made by Emily Maynard of Elva Fields. My husband bought the beautiful diamond tension ring through Stuart Moore in San Francisco, it was made by the designer Niessing. And yep, my husband and I painted the pet portraits for the table designs. My husband painted the portrait of our Boston Terrier, Vinnie. It was a labor of love and, personally, one of my favorite parts of planning the wedding. We'd be happy to talk to you about potentially painting your pets - you can email me at sfjamiejones@gmail.com
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Hi Jamie!!
Your wedding looks so beautiful!! I am also getting married at Le Reve! I saw these pics and thought I recognized the hotel :). Do you have any comments on your wedding there? Did you have a photo booth and who did your hair and make up?
Thank you!!
Hi Sarah! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I'm sure you'll love having your wedding at Le Reve. Arlenis and her team are very kind and helpful. The food was delicious and the hotel was amazing. Unfortunately, I can't speak to how well the hotel staff plan an event independently because Alison Events (our amazing event planning team) managed the wedding soup to nuts for us.
Yes, we had a photo booth! We got lucky enough that our crack duo of photographers from Paco & Betty traveled to Mexico with us for our wedding. They got creative and created a faux fun-booth for us on-site using special lighting and a white wall in the restaurant. They are some of my favorite photos! Their info is here: http://pacoandbetty.com
Also, we found a great hair/makeup team that I couldn't recommend more highly. Doranna is a great hair stylist and has connections for makeup folks. They came to the hotel a few days early for a trial, and were exceptional during the day of the wedding. Her info is here: http://www.dorannahairstylist.com/
I love weddings like this with a deep sense of place. This was really well done. What a perfect shade of green as an accent too! That necklace you wore is to die for!
Jamie,
Thank you so much for all of the info!!! I really appreciate it!
Hi Jamie,
I just got engaged and we were thinking of having our wedding at Le Reve. We are also thinking of buying out the hotel but not sure if it is convenient and/or extremely expensive. Can you share your experience in this regard? and maybe an approximated cost for the weekend?. Were they easy in letting you bring your own planner and decoration?. Im so sorry for so many questions but I'm a little bit lost in what to do..Any comment will be appreciated!.
Thanx,
Yzzel
It's so great to have a wedding on the beach. I like the native band and the cocktails!
