You guys know what tends to happen to me when I get my hands on a Jose Villa wedding. I turn into a five year old who just took her first steps inside a candy store. Giddy, flustered, squealing here and there for no particular reason. Well, that’s exactly what I did when I opened my email to see this gem of a wedding sitting there all perfect and pretty. Then I saw the vendor list…Jill La Fleur, Joel Serrato, Modern Day Design, Team Hair & Makeup and that five year old inside of me? Well, let’s just say that I had to put her in timeout to calm her down. We’ve got a full day of gorgeousness for you from Jose and crew and we’re topping off everything with an incredible buying guide. From the Bride… Michael went to Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Pasadena. While he was in school, we would go wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley. Naturally, we fell in love with the area, the wine and the beautiful scenery. Once it became time to start wedding planning, we knew we wanted to get married in this special area. We chose Foley Estates Vineyard and Winery, because it was one of the first wineries we went to and for its picturesque view of the valley.
We knew we wanted a fall wedding as it is our favorite time of year. The weather is perfect and the vines are starting to change colors. We used the vine colors and the warmth of fall as our template (orange, yellow, brown, cream, gold). We wanted to focus on the natural beauty of the area, and Jill LaFleur knew exactly how to accomplish this! We were in love with all the little touches, from the lanterns hanging in the tent, to the split peas in the bottom of the mason jars. Our wedding was everything we wanted and more than we ever could have imagined!! We would like to thank all of our vendors for giving us the wedding of our dreams! They took our ideas and turned them into reality!
