We were engaged for 2 years before we were married. We chose to have a long engagement so we didn’t have to rush through planning our wedding and so we could enjoy the process. Our ultimate goal was to bring all of our friends and family together for a big party.
Finding the location was probably the hardest decision we made. We chose The Down Town Club because of it’s great location in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia. We loved the floor to ceiling windows with great views of the city and waterfront. We also really liked the vintage decor of the space, the use of printed fabrics and drapery really inspired the concept for our wedding.
We were lucky to find wonderful vendors who made the rest of the planning process so easy. Our vision of a romantic early spring wedding with some vintage flare really came together quite easily; all of our vendors really seemed to grasp the feeling and ran with it. Everything really exceeded our expectations! Our band was great and kept everyone dancing all night. All of it was captured by our wonderful photographers (whose vintage, romantic style we love!!) Overall, we were beyond impressed with the day and had a really great time with our family and friends.

Great stationary!
Sheek and elegant. Nothing but first class here. Love it!
I absolutely love the color of the bridesmaids dresses. Any way of finding out where they are purchased?
Re: Bridesmaids dresses, the listing says JCrew, but I wonder what color? The "Ivory" on the website looks a lot whiter than the dresses in the picture?
Laura & Lee were just the most darling couple and so much fun to work with...they have amazing taste and an even more amazing love for each other! And Laura's dress is still one of my all-time favorites. Wowwza! :-)
I too am curious of the bridesmaid dresses, thanks!!
The bridesmaids dresses were an ivory-pink in person.. I know it's hard to tell from the photos.

This venue is gorgeous. I bet it felt like a royal wedding!
The dress is from Priscilla of Boston from the Melissa Sweet Reverie collection - the style name is "Maldives" - it is also my wedding dress :)
I love the hue used on all the photos, it gives a very vintage, classy touch.
