From Brosnan Photographic… This is Part 1 of Ciara and Rian’s Wedding. Part 2 will be taking place in Carcassonne, the South of France at the end of the month. Ciara and Rian decided to have their traditional (legal) marriage in their home county of Cork, Ireland. They kept it a simple affair as the big celebrations will take place later in the month in France. It was just them and their parents present.

They were married in St. Finbar’s Oratory in Gougane Barra, a small chapel at the foot of the Cork mountains. Ciara and Rian are both music teachers and Rian surprised Ciara with a three piece string group for her entrance down the aisle. Ciara was expecting music to be played via an ipod. After the ceremony Rian surprised Ciara again with a brass ensemble outside the church, the only part of the day that made Ciara cry.

After the ceremony we took photos around Gougane Barra where Ciara braved the water with her wellies. We then went to Bantry House for more photos. After the photos Ciara and Rian had a quiet dinner with their parents in a local hotel. Their wedding in France will be celebrated with more friends and family, with an outdoor ceremony and reception on a vineyard and photos in the old city.
