We are quite literally green with envy over this next Dallas wedding sent to us by Couture Events by Lottie. Green is symbolic for nature. Growth. Harmony. Freshness. Green is also the most restful color for the human eye and suggests endurance and stability. Didn’t know that did ya’? What more apropos color could there be for a wedding? Everything from the fresh florals to the yummy custom M&M’s to the gorgeous damask throughout ~ well, let’s just say it put a big grin on my face. The brilliant Jenny Martell Photography is the talent behind this one, and we’re so glad she was there with her artistic eye to capture this courthouse wedding. Any marriage that starts with such a fun wedding is bound to be blessed and full of life. Once you’ve devoured this pretty wedding, check out Jenny’s blog for more gorgeous nuptials!

From the bride … The decision to have our wedding at the Old Red Courthouse was one that came with great ease. It is magnificent in appearance with a great balance between old historic charm and the elegance of a grand ballroom. Our day was infused with hues of greens and touches of damask. We incorporated personal touches like mini jars with personalized M&M’s and hand written notes from guests hung on our wishing tree. Jenny Martell Photography did a phenomenal job with our photography. Some of our favorite photos are those taken down in the lobby of the museum, where there is a wonderful and original white and black checked flooring. It matched the wedding beautifully.

Goodness but I LOVE the colour use here! Particularly the chair sashes and the little hints of orange.
Fabulous cake too!
love the images.
What is going on with the ducks? I'm so intrigued.
Me too! Curious about the ducks!
@KC and @Sonia, we're trying to get in touch with the bride to hear what the ducks are all about. We're as curious as you!
About the ducks - one is the bride and the one with the hat - the groom. They ask them questions like "who's doing the cleaning at home?" and they reply by raising either the female duck or the male duck.
Gorgeous wedding. LOVE the green & the ducks! Love all the little touches!
One of our fav weddings. Thank you for the feature.
