We’ve always known that our neighbors to the north know how to celebrate in style…But this Toronto wedding, captured by the insanely talented LG Weddings, is an absolute perfect display of whimsical romance. I mean, seriously people, have you ever seen huge, white balloons, baby’s breath, and brown paper packages (tied up with string) co-exist so beautifully before? See each and every pretty, little detail here in the gallery.

Kathleen and Aymen’s wedding at Parkwood Estate (just outside of Toronto) had just the right touch of vintage, romance, nostalgia, and whimsy. Instead of carrying bouquets of flowers, her bridesmaids carried big round white balloons and wore adorable light pink cocktail dresses. The ceremony and reception were both held outdoors, despite on and off showers and the sun broke through just in time for Kathleen to walk down the aisle to her groom. The reception decor was mainly DIY, with personal, vintage touches such as mason jars wrapped in lace as flower vases and simple but charming floral arrangements. There was a travel theme throughout the tent reception, each table a world destination, with guests given “passports.” The atmosphere was warm, comfy and lively as guests enjoyed a casual and delicious buffet dinner finished with their choice of about a dozen different gourmet cakes for dessert along with the homemade wedding cake made by a friend. They included some cultural traditions such as a Filipino money dance and also kept the guests entertained with plenty of games (hula hoop competition and model catwalk-off) and dancing late into the night.

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the white balloons!
I love the wedding shoes! Any more info on them? Thanks!
Antiqued signs, mason jars, brown paper packages tied up with string... and that CAKE are a few of our favorite things @ Weddzilla. This wedding is beautiful! On a rainy D.C. day, this is exactly what we need to lift our spirits.
That's my dress! I love it, and the bride looks so beautiful! I just got so excited to wear it in a few months!! Congratulations!
beautiful wedding! what a gorgeous day! may i ask where you all sourced the balloons? best wishes for a happy life together!
This wedding is gorgeous! I live in the area of where it took place, the site is also famous for the location shot of the Adam Sandler movie Billy Madison.
What a gorgeous color palette. And that cake! So pretty. I really love how they used the kraft paper on those gifts, too. So much to love!
Love the venue... pics are stunning. Congrats :) x
how lovely are those colors! & the bridesmaids dresses are phenomenal!
I just love those shoes! I also must admit I am a closet cigar affeciando as well!
Lovely wedding! May I ask where the bride's shoes are from?
The brides dress is gorgeous and looks so pretty on her! The balloons and the little vintage touches are adorable. Congrats :)
Very clean and sophisticated! Love it!
Love, love, love that cake! And the whimsical details are to die for!
I love the balloons! What a great idea that saved quite a bit of money, I'm sure.
Classic colour theme, beautiful styling and such pretty pictures.
Thanks so much everyone for the wonderful comments!
I got my shoes last year from 'Feet First'. I bought it for $60. It was on sale and it was comfortable!
The balloons I purchased from 'balloon king' in downtown Toronto. They have a website so you can check there. To save money We blew them up ourselves. I rented a helium tank from party packagers.
The cake was made by one of close girlfriends. She's just starting out her business so let me know if you ladies want her contact!
I loved everyhring that day! My dress was so light that it felt like I was wearing clouds. Photographer and videographer were awesome!
Kat (bride)
Hi Kat! Congratulations on the gorgeous wedding, stunning details! I am curious which Enzoani dress it was? do you happen to know the style? Thanks!
Hi dani21 - the bridesmaid dresses were from enzoani's 2009 love collection. Style #A15.
Beautiful wedding and details. I love the travel theme throughout. Could you share where you got the fly the world box? Or are you willing to sell yours? Thanks!
Hi Kat!
I totally want those balloons for my wedding as well - I'm in Toronto, and I searched for Balloon King (on Bathurst?) but their site says they are located in Mississauga (downtown located closed). Is that the correct company, or is it a different one?
Thanks so much. And congrats on your lovely wedding :)
Hi Tin2Ca - I got the world box from HomeSense. I would sell it, but the box means a lot to me and it took me a while to find it. sorry hun. but definitely try homesense, winners, marshalls and even good will stores. Goodluck!
Hi Abigail - Yes it is the balloon king on bathurst. I guessed they moved to Mississauga. But that is where i got my balloons. I rented the helium tank from party packagers and got my bridal party to do the manual work by filling it up -- saved me tons of $$.
G'dluck ladies!
thanks,
Kat
What color were your bridesmaids Love by Enzoani A15 dresses... is this the Blush or the Pink?
