From the Bride… Our wedding was held at Voyager Estate in Margaret River (a 3hr drive from Perth and a spot to relax for many West Aussies). Beautiful wine region, amazing beaches and a favourite weekend getaway for Mark & I. It made for a pretty perfect wedding weekend. The wedding was all consuming for me. I was so excited about all the things I could do to make the perfect day but I’m not a particularly crafty type so I ended up abandoning many a DIY idea, though my Mum and sisters (and we even roped in my Dad and some family friends) were on hand for a few of the projects I persisted with.
I wanted my 3 bridesmaids (my younger sisters) to carry lavender bouquets but never invisioned lavender coloured gowns for them too. Once we saw the dress though, we knew it was perfect and lavender became our accent colour for the wedding. We always knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and the beauty of the Voyager Estate gardens was the inspiration for the look and feel of the wedding. We wanted the day to be elegantly beautiful with a vintage feel. Our invitations were chosen to reflect the classic design we had in mind for the wedding. The girls at Baumbirdy created the perfect suite, including a custom map, and my maid of honour helped me to affix vintage stamps (featuring a bird motif) to each hand calligraphied envelope. We had a real giggle trying to create enough “bird combos” so each one was different.
Our reception tables were rows of white peonies, hydrangeas and David Austin roses with lavender and basil in silver vessels that belonged to my parents. We used hand calligraphy for a number of elements like our seating cards and napkin belly bands. We had all the linen custom made as I found very limited choice for hire locally. My father sings professionally and I grew up surrounded by music so it was only fitting he sang our first dance to “The Way You Look Tonight”. Our cake was AMAZING. Milk chocolate truffle layer cake with white chocolate vanilla butter cake, white chocolate ganache and fondant icing. I only wish we’d had more left over!
Mark & I wrote our own vows because we wanted to promise things that were true to us as a couple. Many of my relatives were unable to make it over from the UK for our big day. My something blue was a tiny forget-me-not flower my cousin had given me when we left England at the end of a holiday when we were kids. I attached it in a locket to my bouquet along with my something old (an enamel rose pin that had belonged to my Grandil) and a diamond key pendant which was also my gift to each of my bridesmaids. I attached each sisters key to her bouquet as a surprise.
One of the most important decisions surrounding the day was our photographer. We booked Samm almost two and a half years in advance as we knew there was no one else for the job. She has captured the joy of the day in a way even we had not expected. We knew she was good but we were literally floored when we got the proofs. I will be forever grateful for her genius. She worked tirelessly all day but still made it so fun to hang out with her. If I had one piece of advice for other Brides it would be to pick the best photographer for your day. Oh, and to try, try, try to take it all in because it really does fly by as fast as they say.

Seriously - stunning wedding and the bridesmaid dresses are probably the most beautiful ones I've ever seen! Gotta know who those are by!
Where are the bridesmaids dresses from? Absolutely love how unique they are!!!
This is one of my favorite weddings you have ever featured, it's just PERFECT! So many amazing details... I especially love the bride's clutch and garter... and that cake, oh my goodness!
Who designed the bridesmaid dresses? They are stunning!
All of the gowns were great! Beautiful. I am like everybody else who has commented...where are the bm dresses from? ;)
Hey girls! Checking on the BM dresses for you!
The groom is dashing and the bride looks like Kate Middleton! This is one of the best looking couples you've featured SMP! And what exquisite taste - I am in love with the bridesmaids bouquets and dresses (that colour!), the lavender pillows, purple drinks and big fat clusters of peonies everywhere! The only thing I do not like about this wedding is that there are just thirteen pages of photos - not nearly enough!
I am so honored that you included my custom handkerchief in your beautiful article. Thank you.
Holy crap, I can't help but think about how much those BM dresses were.
Wow! Everything is beyond lovely! The BM dresses are absolutely stunning!
is it just me are are these ladies stunningly beautiful and poised?! Such a gorgeous wedding, I wish I was invited! xo
where is that good luck horseshoe from? it's adorable!
Does anyone know the bride's gown? I see that it says Pronovias, but which one? It's difficult to translate the gorgeous real life pics into the stock photos to figure it out.
Beautiful wedding!

Beautiful shoes! Amazing dresses! And the Chloè fragrance..is the top!!! I have that fragrance, too!
If I have it all, I am willing to exchange all, a very enviable.www.clsc.cn/
Hey guys! Still waiting to hear back from the bride on all of your questions. Hopefully today!!
Thankyou all so much for your lovely comments! Hoping to try and answer everyone’s questions... Firstly – the bridesmaids dresses were made by Studio Collections in Perth. My gown is the Maldivas by Pronovias which I had altered from the original design (it had tulle straps that swept across the front of the dress which I had removed). The bridesmaids shoes are by Wittner and my shoes with the crystal bows are by Tony Bianco. My earrings are from Samantha Wynne in Subiaco. The horseshoe was a gift sent to me from my Aunty in the UK and the vintage camera is my own... Hope this helps! Love from the Bride xx
Does anyone know where the 'just married' sign is from?
Hi Amy,
My "Just Married" sign was from Bride & Groom Store - http://brideandgroomstore.com.au/
OH WOW @ the dresses, both the bridesmaids and bride have the most stunning dresses! They compliment the lavender bouquets so beautifully and the photography is just gorgeous. The bird toppers are super adorable!
Gorgeous! I love the wish tickets - I bought those for my wedding as well, but I cannot come up with the perfect use yet. I'd love to know what this bride used them for...

Kate, An absolute delight to hand write in my copperplate style for you. The photographs are amazing and so are all your little touches you put so much thought into. It was an absolute pleasure to scribe my calligraphy for you on your most special day. I loved the signs for the lavender lemonade, the cake and Mother of the Bride , just gorgeous to see them on location . Thank you for your beautiful thoughts and gracious manner. Congratulations, may you and Mark be friends for life. A pleasure as always, Judith Ann Beautiful Writing.

Purple is my favorite color, and now I've discovered the perfect shade. I absolutely adore the bridesmaids' dresses and how flattering and elegant they are. I've never thought of a lavender bouquet and I'm impressed by how well it holds its own.
I am in love with the bridesmaids dresses! You guys did a great job threading lavender throughout the entire wedding and reception- the signature drink looks amazing!!!

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows or can find out what the couple have used to hold their menus at each place setting.. it is just what I am looking for for my own wedding!
Thanks!
Hi Kate - Your wedding is so inspirational!!! I am after lavender dresses (different style) - however I am not 100% i got the colour I was after...do you remeber what the colour at studio collections was called? Was it the tea rose?
Plz let me know where the bridesmaid dresses are from, just stunning!
I love the lavender theme in this wedding!
