From Details Weddings & Events … Ashley and Josh joined a close group of family and friends on the day after Thanksgiving at Pratt Place Barn to tie the knot. Pratt Place was the clear choice for this rustic “down home” wedding. Recently named the best place to get married in Arkansas by Martha Stewart, Pratt is elegant and comfortable all at the same time. The venue suited Ashley’s style to a T.
Ashley had chosen olive and navy early on in the planning process as her palette and we were able to find her custom table runners that gave us a fantastic base for her design. Every detail was closely considered by Ashley, down to the antique, family jewels in her gorgeous bouquet, made by the very talented Rose of Sharon. Her guests were treated to an amazing night and even went home with custom mixed flavored popcorn for a midnight snack. This was truly an event that was representative of the couple and the smiles on their faces let us know we had hit the nail on the head with the design and coordination!

I love the simpleness of her reception tables, similar to what I am thinking for ours!
Simple is better!
brides hair was done really pretty. love the venue!
LOVE the hair comb? Where is it from?
Beautiful, any idea where the dress is from?
I am in love with the shot of the shoes! I also love the simplicity of the decor. Very nice!

Ashley's dress is from Low's Bridal in Brinkley, AR. Her hair is done by Laura Parsley at Pizazz in Fayetteville, AR.
Her hair comb was from Low's Bridal as well in Brinkley, AR.
Beautiful photos! I love the shot of the shoes and the bridal party. What a beautiful bride-love her hair and makeup.
I love the sweetness of the twinkle lights! Simplicity at it's finest.
What are the bases of the centerpieces? They look awesome! Exactly what I'm thinking of for my barn wedding too...
So beautiful!
I've got a flower question if anyone can help. Does anyone know if the green orchids on the cake are regular cymbidiums or mini-cymbidiums? I ordered mini-cymbidiums last week for my wedding (exact flower is here: http://www.flowermuse.com/our-flowers/orchids/green-mini-cymbidium-orchids-10-stems-326.html ) and I'm now wondering if maybe I should get the regular cymbidiums instead. I originally went with the mini version because I didn't want them to look to overwhelming. Anyway, maybe I am just obsessing!
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!
Rachel
This was the most wonderful day of my life. Every single vendor for my wedding did an amazing job. Details really made my wedding day easy and they kept my bridal party in line (you go amy!) Pam is as sweet as pie and she makes sure that YOU are happy on your day and makes sure that YOU get what you want. I didnt have to worry about anything which was great! Details really worked thier tails off to make my wedding day dreams come true. The dress and hair piece are from lows bridal in brinkley. This place is the bridal mecca of arkansas and the south! Lows is an old train station and hotel and there are three full stories of dresses...you WILL find one. I chose my dress nearly a year before the day and it was only the second one I tried on. The flowers on the cake are regular cymbidiums and mini cymbidiums. Thanks for all your great comments! You are all so sweet.
P.S. My photographer moved to san francisco which I am so sad about. She became not only my photographer but also my friend. I love rachel and she really does care about you and your shoots. She captured the way my new husband and I feel about each other from behind a lense and that is worth more than words can say.
Those containers for the hydrangea centerpieces are AWESOME! Where are they from?!
Rachel--The flowers on the cake are mostly the regular sized Cymbidiums. The smaller flowers are green Dendrobium orchids. Mini-cymbidiums are just a about half way between the two in size. Personally, I love the standard Cymbidiums on a cake because they are such a striking flower. If your cake is small, go with the Dendrobiums or mini-cymbidiums. But if you have a cake this size or larger, and you like the look of this cake, go with the standard Cymbidiums.
Erin--the centerpiece bases are a rustic lantern/candle holder with a glass vase inside.
