Romance seems to be born and bred at Saddlerock Ranch and we have tons of gorgeous weddings from that very spot to prove it. While their romance started on the beach, Viveka & Matt were looking to capture a warmer, more earthy feel for their September nuptials. After an extensive search (from Newport to Santa Barbara) they found their fit with Saddlerock Ranch’s estate property. Nestled among the growing grape leaves and many unique animals (Viveka was in love with the horses but the baby buffalo enchanted her nearly as much) their reception was a lively dance party that went well into the night. Family flew in from Peru to begin the celebration in Santa Monica at Saint Monica’s Church (home parish of Maria Shriver; where she married Arnold Schwartzeneger in 1991) in the early afternoon. The aisles were trimmed with huge bouquets of babysbreath which echoed her lacy Vera Wang gown. Her seven bridesmaids wore custom party dress that were trimmed with velvet in keeping with their hand held nosegays. To set the tone her invitations were a custom designed by Annie Carolin of Flite Design. The soft pink paper was letterpressed with silver ink and hand torn finished with a wax seal and bound with ivory twine. Echoing the romance that Viveka had her heart set on the first dance for husband and wife was a sweet rendition of “I Know You”. Couches sat close to the dance floor so that all of the guests could enjoy snuggling with white fleece blankets. Before the end of the night a taco bar created by Jaimi Willis of 24 Carrots Catering was set up with every imaginable fixing to offer a final nod to their guests.
