Georgia Lake Wedding by Our Labor of Love

January 25th. 2011 by Erin | Filed Under | 30 comments

If you looked up the definition of sweet in the dictionary, there would surely be an image of this lakeside wedding staring back at you. The carefree couple, the simple wildflower bouquets, the boot-clad bridesmaids…all plopped down right next to a lovely lake in Georgia. But all childhood summer camp fantasies turned wedding aside, it is all the happy moments captured by Heidi of Our Labor of Love that really speaks to our hearts. We eat those up by the spoonful around here. See the rest of the happy day in the gallery.

see the whole lakeside soiree right here!

Eric and I were married by a lake in the North Georgia Mountains in October. It was perfect. Everything about our wedding was handmade. From the Mason jar centerpieces to the invitations to the programs to the wedding cake pedestal to the directional signs…we crafted and created it all, with love. We also set-up the altar and guest book area and designed the entire music program. Our musicians were our closest friends. Our entrance into the reception was an acoustic version of ‘Lean on Me’ performed by our wedding party! Indeed, it was a lot of work…but it was also a great time to discover how well we work together. For that, we gave high fives all around!

Love this laid back, carefree wedding! Just adorable. Random question for the bride - where did you find your guest book? I've been searcing high and low for a similar photo album / scrapbook to use for our guestbook, but I can't seem to find anything that doesn't have the plastic page protectors over the pages. Any advice would be super helpful!

Thanks for sharing. I think I actually started crying when Emily and Eric walked down the aisle singing with their bridal party. I mean, seriously!?! That's amazing!

    ljones4,

We found our guest book at Sam Flax, an art supply store here in Atlanta. You might want to check their website. Basically, we bought the book (multi-ring binder style) and then bought the pages for it. Good luck in your search and all the best in your planning!

    Karissa and Beth,

The BM dresses are from Watters and Watters. They were really lightweight and comfortable and the girls loved them!

    Best,

It's funny I was talking to my sister about this exact same thing last weekend after her wedding. We felt Photographers blend creativity and photojournalism in an original way, producing a documentary with a beautiful artistic approach. They should have eclectic experience — having worked with all types of cultures and traditions, our photographers are versatile in adjusting to every family's individual needs.

These are also examples of people who are doing it very well nowadays.

I want to live in your wedding. I seriously want to dive right in and spend the rest of my life amongst the daisies. It's as if I were transported back to my childhood ( I am in my 40's ouch, ouch, ouch.......) Your wedding day must have been beyond belief. Stunning details, stunning photos , stunning bride! Yay for pure perfection!
