We are ever so excited this morning to share the final design from the Inspiration to Invitation Challenge by Sarah Drake. A few months ago, we put a call out to all of you wedding gurus who have a penchant for lovely board building to design an inspiration board that would be the building block for a brand spankin’ new invitation design by Sarah Drake. Out of ALL the gorgeous entries that came our way, Sarah chose this old world meets romance novel inspiration from Chiara.
And from this style-savvy board, Sarah Drake designed an equally fabulous invitation suite that we are so excited to share…

From Sarah Drake…
We chose Chiara’s inspiration board for it’s rich beauty and complexity- we could have designed an entire line out of this collection of photos. I could really see a beautiful event emerging here, and could just tell that the photos held a lot of meaning. I think this invitation would work in a variety of rich colors- gold and amber, forest and cream, slate and bronze. We especially love using the pages from an old copy of Don Quixote to line the envelopes and a folded web card, for some dimension. Engraving this would be beautiful to get a hint of metallic ink on the dark paper- can’t wait to print this for a fall bride who loves history and pattern!

Wow, that is an amazing set of invitations!
This is seriously amazing!
A lovely collection, sophisticated, sober, rich colours without being opulent, understated elegance. Well done! It is fascinating to see the inspiration and the elements and the ideas that it has sparked.
Sarah Drake, you've done an AMAZING job! The invitations are BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you so much for choosing my inspiration board. These invitations are a hundred times better than anything I could have imagined!
I just now noticed the location and the names written on the invitation! Thank you so much for honoring the country I grew up in and the inspiration for the board! You've done a wonderful job!
The invitations are stunning! Sarah did a fabulous job of interpreting Chiara's Inspiration Board. Well done, Sarah (& Chiara)!
This project was so inspiring to us! Chiara, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to start- I want to do more! Thank you, SMP for the opportunity!
What a beautiful collection, classy, unique, vibrantly stimulating and elegant. Great job!! Very nice to see creativity come to life. There are so many creative people in this world, and all with their own sense of style and class. Wow. Just WOW. I'm getting married this October, just like the invites, and this is pretty much the closest I've seen to my vision in my head actually in real life. It's all amazing, from the inspiration board to the invites, wow. I love the colors (mine are deep teal, gold, cream and brown), the keys, the vintage aspects, the book pages and the old books.
Sigh.
I'll need to blow this up and just gaze at the beauty everyday.
We're having the wedding at a location already featured on SMP, and one of my wishes (besides a strong marriage and a day filled with love :) ), is to, just maybe, see it on SMP.
Thank you Style Me Pretty for making my night!!!!!
Beautiful job!! Loved the book envelope liners, what a cute and creative addition!
