Kentucky Backyard Wedding by Juan Maclean

Next up on this day of loveliness is a Kentucky affair that brings together natural beauty, wide open fields, yummy cakes and a punch of orange and let me tell you…they’re like peas in a pretty pod on this family owned farm. Juan Maclean was there to photograph all the action and he did so to complete and total perfection. See more from this pretty wedding in the gallery.

the rest of this lovely day can be found right here!

All the details, weather, location, and people came together to make this one of the most perfect and unique weddings I’ve seen. The sky was blue, the air was crisp, the bride was stunning, and the atmosphere was full of joy. Ryan and Holly wanted a wedding that was simple, personal, and fun. They succeeded and even surpassed these expectations! The ceremony was held on the beautiful front lawn of the groom’s childhood home, and everything was personally planned to the detail by the bride. She worked for many hours to produce the decorations, centerpieces, and even a signing book station using a professionally produced engagement album from their recent session. The bride’s father used his skill in woodcarving to create the perfect announcement sign for the wedding, as well as many other additions to the decorations. It was a family event from beginning to end.

The reception took place in an emaculate and decorated barn on the groom’s land. The themes of personal and fun continued, in addition to using all local fare – from the barbecue to the local options of cakes. There was plenty of eating, talking, dancing, and celebration to last for hours. Though Holly put so much of herself into the ceremony and reception details, she was the part of the day that stood out the most. A happy and loving couple, and a group of celebrating friends and family, are the centerpieces of any beautiful wedding.

This is the bride.... My dress was Priscilla of Boston, the Vineyard Collection. My seamstress made the flower out of extra material they sent us. Happy planning brides!!
