Bald Head Island Wedding

It’s been a completely awe inspiring day of wedding goodness on SMP. One beauty after another, each with their own style stamp, their own personalities and charms. Well, we’re ending the day with one of the loveliest. Brought to you by photographer Anne McGowan, this little wedding is quite possibly the sweetest day we’ve seen in a long time. And simply put, it begins and ends with the bride’s GORGEOUS dress. Click here to see even more.

From Anne McGowan…This was one amazing day. I first met Ann Yates mother and father last winter and felt instantly at ease. With their family enjoyment comes first- and they really want everyone to have a good time no matter what you’re doing We decided a first look would be best so that Ann Yates and Jon could go on and enjoy the entire reception with their family and friends.

All weddings are surrounded by tons hoopla, emotion and a teensy bit of stress- but I have never seen anyone relax like Ann Yates did when she saw Jon for the first time that day. Jon was adorable- he wanted Ann Yates to tie his bow tie properly. Sweet love.

They were married on Bald Head in June at the Village Chapel. Ann Yates wore a custom Heidi Elnora gown with a collar- Ann Yates’ signature look. And Jon, the bow tie. It was a warm day to say the least (100 degrees!) but it didn’t hinder their joy one bit- another thing that I loved about working with them. Nothing but happiness. Kim Fisher provided the floral design (as well as the cute ampersand prop). Courtney Arnold of Stellar Events helped the day unfold beautifully. Everyone danced the night away at the Bald Head Island Club while Lindsey Cheek made sure that the evening ran smoothly.

How cool. Where did you get the little people figures? Remember the school bus and farm playset from when I was a child.
