I think that invites are the first hint that guests get about your wedding style; I'd love my to show something a little contemporary, chic, unique and definitely green!
Oh my! I'm in the throngs of planning my wedding. It's going to be in Oxford, England and I'd love to evoke and classic travel theme for my guests, mostly coming from the US. This is such a wonderful giveaway! Lovely things at Two Paperdolls!!!
I would like our invitations to reflect our style as a couple as well as give our guests an idea of what they can expect on the day. I love the look of letterpress. I have always loved texture in design!
I want my invites to be chic and show that our wedding will be a casually elegant southern affair- and FUN!
My fiance and I really want invitations that show how fun and laid-back our wedding will be but also how elegant it will be (it's a hard mixture to find). We want something a little different, probably text-based like the very first picture but still elegant. It has been a nightmare finding invitations we like that we can afford, so winning this would really help since we are on such a tight budget!
I'd like our invites to be a preview of the day itself--elegant, but relaxed, since we're hoping to evoke the feel of an old-fashioned Southern garden party.

We don't have much money, but invitations are one thing I just go ga-ga for, and one of two places I might splurge (the other is MUSIC!) We're getting married next fall at a garden and barn in connecticut, and will be married outside under a huge tree on the property if the weather allows. We both feel the closest thing to sacred is being outdoors. We've thought about putting a big tree on the invitation, and will definitely use comfortable, non-formal language. Our wedding is a mix of traditional and modern. The cathedral where our ceremony is taking place is over one hundred years old with remarkable stain glass and dark mahogany wood covering the church. We are having a fall wedding on the Chesapeake Bay so I would love our invitations to incorporate the feel of fall + the water. I can imagine beautiful invitations using our colors of gray and goldenrod plus pops of orange.

Our theme is Sexy, Sultry, Miami Chic (which is perfect for our rooftop downtown Miami wedding)...but how can we convey that in an invitation? I'm not sure, but we definitely want guest to get that feeling the moment they open the envelope.

Being a graphic designer, what to do for my save-the-dates and wedding invitations has been the first things I’ve been obsessing over since getting engaged! Our wedding is kind of like getting to a frontier checkpoint; we feel like we've explored so much together, but are only beginning our journey and it's time to let everyone know we're in it for the better portion of the adventure before we keep going.
So, when I think of the wedding we are building (a Quaker style one here in PA) I want it to reflect the wonders we have seen and are going to see. We're kind of going on the Gilded Age look where type and flourish were at it's best (in my opinion), and where everything seemed to envision the 'what could be'. Typography obviously plays a role, and if I had to choose a couple words / phrases to describe the feel, they would be: tonics & elixirs, hand-etched illustrations, "architectural cocktail", "things in glass found as specimen", "made by us" (we make homebrewed beer regularly).

I believe that from the day your invitations arrive, the expectation of your event begins. It is like a sneak peak to the hours upon hours that have gone into planning the theme, style, look, and all of the small details that make the day so special. As a young, non-traditional couple it's very discouraging looking for wedding invitations when the only ones we can afford are the boring, simple, traditional prints. Each guest should open it and feel as if he or she is being sucked into a romantic, vintage time, where love letters were hand written and love was told through poetry by candlelight. No one should ever feel inclined to throw away this key, not even the men. Instead, this key will be pinned up in the kitchen, or tucked away in a keepsake drawer. The invitation to our wedding might include our vintage theme with blush, ivory, and champagne colors to set the tone for the celebration. We would love for each guest to feel like they are being sucked in to a romantic dream, where they can see love through the eyes of an optimistic child, perhaps for the first time in years.

Mountains - and a love of the outdoors, in general - have been a theme for my fiance and I. We met in college in Montana, and one of our first dates was a six-hour hike (much more than I had bargained for). We still spend our weekends together playing outside. And this summer, we got engaged at the top of a mountain in Peru overlooking Machu Picchu after a four-day trek. We're hoping to showcase the beauty of Montana and the peace and fun we find in this setting at our wedding. I love the idea of playing off vintage posters that used to advertise the state since his family and friends will be traveling from the south.

Our ceremony is going to be very spiritual and earth friendly. My FI and I want our invitations to tell guests that we are having a fun-filled, relaxed BBQ wedding! I love the love story design... FI and I have such a good love story! But, I also love the Oak tree since our theme is birds/trees. I want our invitations to be special and memorable.
I would like our invitation to set the tone of our wedding ceremony by incorporating the bright sunny "vintage" yellow color against the rich early fall colors. My Fiance and I are having all our wedding festivities outdoors. The ceremony will be taking place in a palm tree lined area called the "Italian Garden", our reception is to take place on the lawn adjacent, and dancing under a string light lite patio. Our wedding theme is "family tree". Our families are spread across the world and have precious little time together. In fact, not one of our planned attendees lives in our city. LOVE Two Paperdolls! As someone who likes to scrapbook and make handmade cards I have always been obsessed with paper. My mom and I joke that we just like to collect gorgeous paper. I absolutely love what you can create with it. I want my invitations to show the type of classy romance that my fiance and I have. My colors are black and white with accents of green and I just want the invitations to reflect the old hollywood style but with modern accents.

What I love about letterpress (and the fabulous designers using it) is that it's the perfect combination of traditional and modern. Using a 100 year old technology, I want our invitations to evoke our respect for history and vintage aesthetic with an eye towards great design.

My hope would be that the invitations set the tone for what our wedding will be and reflect the style, a rustic, chic, elegant, yet comfortable and laid back party. As well as get our guests as excited as we are to share in our special day. I've always loved the look of the letterpress and how it now invokes a vintage yet modern feel.
Vintage-y, enchanted forest Midsummer Night's Dream-ey, but with an elegant, decidedly grounded & down-to-Earth core. The way we met and got together was like an extraordinary fairy tale. Together, we've taken on a rare jaw tumor, unemployment issues, being all alone in a new city, medical bankruptcy, depression, etc. After five years, we're still fighting those battles. But we're closer than ever, and we believe in each other. We've survived as a couple and taken on the world together because of a shared steeliness, but also because in all this time, we've never ceased to be in awe of the magic that brought us together, and that we continue to make together. There's toughness, and there's joy and enchantment. We need both, and we continually provide both to each other, even when one of us is running dry. When we get married, it's going to be a celebration of everything that we are together, and everything that we share with the people in our lives. We want our wedding to create a world of enchantment, strength, and timelessness for our loved ones to exist in for a few hours.
We would hope that our invitations would show our guests not only how much we care about them and having each one there but also the meaning and effort we have put in to have all of our friends and family share in our future. We want them to show how playful and fun we are and that our wedding is going be!

We love fonts! We're looking for something with great lines and design, as well as having a recycled, warm feeling. Letterpress has that wonderful tactile feel as well as having crispness and shape. Ok- we want our invites to say everything all at once. We want them to tell our guests it's worth it to travel across the world or down the block to join us for the big day. They should be elegant enough to inspire everyone to dress up, but also show them that this celebration will hopefully be the most fun they've ever had. They should be thoughtful and stay true to our style in layout, font, and general design. There should be visual an tactile elements so that they're more than just a piece of paper. I'd like the invitation to give a sense of southern formality, with a pinch of uniqueness and a dash of rustic resources. I would like that our invitations show the history and beauty of our venue. We are getting married in march at my grandparent's house/farm which has been in the family since 1836. (There is a certificate to prove it!) The ceremony will be under a huge oak tree behind the house and the reception in an old barn. We are having a 3 day long "festival" of sorts this summer and would love something to reflect the fun, casual atomsphere for the weekend.
As a letter(presser) my respect for what Two Paperdolls creates is incredibly high. For our small destination wedding, I would love to send out invitations that are both undeniably original and include a lot complexity. The design of the invitations should reflect the unique union of a space engineer to a visual artist. I think those two seemingly opposite personalities could produce some spectacular invitation, paper fireworks.
I want my wedding invitations to be warm and inviting---to show my guests how eager me and my fiancee are to have them be a part of our union.

My fiance and I are getting married on an apple farm next 4th of July weekend and we want our invitations to be inspired by the WPA posters that promoted American Tourism in national parks. We want our wedding to display our love of each other, art, travel and all things vintage.

I love how Two Paperdolls integrates beautiful colors and various styles that make every invitation unique and special for every bride and groom. I want to send my guests something handmade and special, but I don't want to spend hours doing it myself! That's why I am dying to have an invitation from Two Paperdolls, especially because the gorgeous peony invitation would be perfect for our garden wedding!
I would love for our invitations to reflect our originality and personalities at the same time. We love the newness of our ideas, but embrace the old in everything we imagine. We definitely envision the wording on our invitations to be simple, only to allow the design to say the rest. I am definitely certain Two Paperdolls can bring that to fruition!
I love the elegant, yet simple style of the Elegant Bouquet invites. They would be perfect for us! These invites incorporate all excitement and joy that we plan on having at our wedding :)
My fiance has definitely been very involved and excited about planning our wedding. Early on, when i asked him what he wanted it o be like, he said "just like a hobbit wedding in the shire mixed with an anthropologie catalog." Who could argue?
I want our invites to be inspire intrigue and set the stage for our wedding. Our venue has such an intimate, vintage, garden vibe that is so beautiful and unique that I want that feeling to be center stage from beginning to end. I see the invites as being the first impression, just like when you meet someone for the first time. That first impression is so important to how you end up viewing that person (or in this case wedding).
My fiance and I met at a charity kickball league, love the outdoors, can party like it's 1999 and we're getting married on FRIDAY the 13TH (yes our idea :)) in Tulum, Mexico – right near the ruins, barefoot with 50 of our closest family and friends. Perfect start to our fun & always eventful life together – what could be better? These INCREDIBLE-AMAZING-FANTABULOUS-WICKED-AWESOME announcements are just out of this world and would be the icing on the cake!

For our Toronto wedding in the Distillery District, I'm imagining vintage and original invitations. This shouldn't be a problem for Two Paperdolls (who I adore by the way!)
