Celebrations of Joy: Tropical Inspired Fall Wedding
Cathy O’Connell & Dorry Wynham of Celebrations of Joy ~ are without a doubt your go-to girls for creating phenomenal destination weddings and events! Today’s wedding, a spectacular tropical-inspired fall wedding from last November, took place at the Hideaway Golf Club in gorgeous Southern California. As you’ll see, it embraces both the time-honored traditions of the couple as well as an elaborate tropical-inspired, elegant party to celebrate their love!
Meghan & Ben were such fun to work with. An East Coast Boy and a West Coast Girl, we helped them blend their styles to create an elegant hip wedding at the beautiful private Hideaway Golf Club in La Quinta, CA. The November weather couldn’t have been better for the fete as 250 guests dined and danced under the stars after the sun set over the palm trees. The bride was in Vera Wang and the groom in Calvin Klein. They were married under a lavish Huppah covered with three generations of Talus, by the same husband and wife team of judges that married the brides parents!
The variety of square, round and feasting tables were fabulously adorned by Gilly Flowers and Events, with a Moroccan Tropic theme. To the side of the food stations, Gilly created an Oasis Tent / Sand Playground for the children to play in!
As guests departed they took away biscotti favors made by the bride’s mother.

This wedding is breathtaking! The natural backdrop of the mountains is so elegant, and the color pallete is such a great mix of fall and the tropics, with the lighted palm trees and centerpieces! This is such a beautiful wedding! Great work Cathy O’Connell and Dorry Wynham!
What beautiful centrepieces! Does anyone know where i can find the long-stemmed and votive candle holders? i dont live in the US so would need to buy. Thanks in advance x
