My experience with Rachel & Ray began with a small crush on them both. Rachel, a beautiful, talented, smart entrepreneur wanted a wedding from a very unique perspective that she, Ray and their guests would enjoy. Ray, a quick-tongue, methodical thinking, handsome Irish chap, wanted a wedding comfortable and elegant for his bride to be. Both found what they were looking for in Rancho Dos Pueblos, a private beach and estate on the coast of Santa Barbara.
Rachel and Ray chose the posh Bacara Resort & Spa for their accommodations. Her gown, a Jim Hjelm, completely embodied Rachel’s stunning beauty. She wore it with grace. For her bridesmaids, a frilly ABS by Allen Schwartz, styled them whimsically yet elegant. The bride hand-made her ladies bird cage veils that accompanied their dresses perfectly. Did I mention Rachel is talented?! Rachel a self professed shoe addict, had bought her shoes years before she had met Ray knowing they were “the” shoe she would wear on her wedding day.
The inspiration to the décor and design of their wedding was “Let my love open the door” with a rustic meets Versace twist. The couple had scouted out two large iron gates which were propped tall in length, dressed in bougainvillea and used as the backdrop to their ceremony vows. They had also found a 13 ft window frame extracted from a home in Egypt which we in turn used as a door way the bride walked through and down her aisle. Rustic church pews were mixed with Chiavari chairs to seat their guests giving the overall theme of a beautiful and unique outdoor church. Rachel and her bridesmaids were transported literally to the aisle doorway on Santa Barbara’s classic Trolley.

wow, it is beautiful!
just an FYI - if you're part of the bridal party i would suggest not wearing a birdcage head piece...the attention should be focused on the bride...
oops! i forgot to mention that i love the bride's dress!
So gorgeous! And that is some of the best wedding party attire I've ever seen.
Re: @loveydovey - usually I'd agree but the bride herself made the birdcage veils for her maid and matron of honor. In that case, I'd say fitting.
I like the bridesmaid dresses. Please share who the strapless dress is by. Thanks!
This is so stylish! Love it!
Oh my gosh, Sonia and Nico this is FAB!! Love love love everything and the photos are stunning!
gorgeous!!!
The shades of beige and antique for the bridesmaid dresses gets an A++ from me!
I heart mismatched bridesmaids dresses...it looks so effortlessly beautiful!
With a dress like that, the attention was definitely on the bride, she looks fabulous in that gown (I think it was sweet of the bride to have her maid/matron of honor stand out, and in most cases, if the bride wants you to wear something at her wedding, you should wear it, lol) and the bouquet is so pretty too! I love the bubbles as the bride and groom walked down the aisle together, so fun :) So many elegant and lovely details, congrats and best wishes!
I too love mismatched dresses, exactly what I'm doing for my wedding :) They all looked so beautiful! She did mention that the dresses were from ABS. I found the brown one!

I'm in love with the venue! I can't find any info on it online though :(
These photos are seriously gorgeous! I love the bride's hair + dress + flowers!
I love the dress, it is the dress I will be wearing in my wedding! If I'm not mistaken (because the excerpt says by Jim Hjelm)- the dress is actually designed by Lazaro who works under JLM couture which is owned by Jim Hjelm, the style number is LZ3867. Check it out! Wonderful dress! She wore it well! I'm doing a veil with gold lace to accent the dress, though. http://www.jlmcouture.com/Lazaro/Bridal/Additional/Style-3867
The colour combinations are amazing...and I adore how they've dressed the barn!
Hello everyone.
Just thought I would leave my contact info. My name is Tricia Fountaine and I am the event manager for Dos Pueblos Ranch and had the lovely pleasure of working with Rachel, Ray and Sonia. The ranch does not have a web page however you can email me with any questions at triciafountaine@aol.com. It truly was a most beautiful wedding!
I'm going to have to go with loveydovey on this one. Veils are for brides.
In general, I don't care for barn weddings. But, the ones that I do find myself oohing and ahhing over are much more simple - think tea, DIY, mason jars, cowboy boots. This wedding seems confused to me - a mashup of rustic and very formal.
Love this wedding... where are the beige bridesmaid dresses from!!!!??????
Bridesmaids dresses are ABS by Allen Schwartz. http://www.absstyle.com/ Click under Bridal Collection then Social Occasion.
WOW! Holy cow! Nico, you knocked this one out of the park! And beautiful design by Sonia!!! Love Santa Barbara vendors!!!
If the bride wants some of her ladies to wear birdcage veils, I'm all for it. It's the her day and she looked outstanding. I wouldn't argue with her wanting to make the veils for her gals. This is her wedding and her day came out lovely! It's not what I would have but I still think it's gorgeous and so happy that the couple were married the way they wanted to be. I don't like set "rules" anyways so I'm all for her doing what she wanted. I think she pulled this off wonderfully! Congrats!
Beautiful, and original concept. WHERE ARE THE CREAM RUFFLY BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES FROM?
Really like the long tables. I wish more brides would consider doing this at there reception.
Hi there! I love the antique chairs!! Where in Heaven did you find them!??!?!
That dress is most definitely not Jim Hjelm. Its a Lazaro.
Love the dresses, but where is the groom's suit from?? It's the perfect grey!
Can anyone post a direct link to the cream ruffle bridesmaid dress? I looked on the ABS website and cannot find it! This wedding is absolutely beautiful, I love it!
wow, what a gorgeous wedding. Getting married in a month's time and have created very much the same look and feel for ours... can't wait!
This is SO GORGEOUS. I love everything about it! How on earth did they obtain those church pews? I MUST steal the idea.
Please, please let me know the color of this dress and the color of the embrodery...gold or silver? Dress is beautiful, but it's hard to realy match the color of it with the color selections for this dress, if being made.
Thanks soooo much!
Love it! Where can I find the monogrammed wire wedding cake topper?
