Chicago Wedding by M Three Studio

There is something so utterly romantic about this next featured affair. Photographed by the talented team at m three studio, it’s elegant and timeless and when you read the details that went into the day, you see that it’s also a perfect representation of the gorgeous couple. But what I love the most about this pretty, pretty wedding is that the style is such a mish-mash of all of the little things I love…an elegant backdrop and an understated design paired with handmade touches and totally approachable decor. Bottom line? It’s total love. To see even more, click right here.

From M Three StudiosKatie Martindale & Chris Foreman are a New York couple with roots in Chicago, and as such, they chose to marry at the beautiful Cuneo Mansion.  You might recognize it from the movie “My Best Friend’s Wedding”.

Their day had threatening skies but their willpower and love was stronger and the rain stopped just in time for their outdoor ceremony and started again just at the end of the cocktail hour on the lawn.   The overcast light cast a great glow on all of the remarkable details from their day.

The reception tent was filled with the heady scent of lavender, with varying pots sitting at each table.  The floral arrangements for each table differed from collections of vintage glass bottles hosting single blooms to small groupings of candles and blooms to full arrangements.  The textures of the floral bouquets and arrangements was endlessly interesting – with many layers providing surprises at each look.

A few special touches…Chris cut, sanded and wood burned custom cheese boards for each table.  Katie imported cheeses from Wisconsin, creating a selection of three of their favorites for every table, along with a bowl of squeaky cheese curds. Chris brewed a special wedding day brew for the out of town guest bags.  The groom’s sister created unique and custom clutches for each of the bridesmaids.  The bride had one “bride’s man”, who entertained the crowd later that evening with a raucous edition of “Proud Mary”.

Sarah, the postcards were their guestbook. They were a mix of New York (where they live) and Chicago (where they are from). Guests where asked to write a note and put them in a box for the couple to read later.

Loved these two! Such a lovely, gracious couple. Molly, you did an incredible job, as always. I think the overcast skies somehow made everything more beautiful.

Loads of props Molly! Well done miss :)

The bridesmaids dresses were from a small boutique in a historical village in Brookfield, Wisconson. The name of the store is Savvy Bride and the dresses are by D'Sage.
