My love for all things Tennessee has found a happy little home in this adorable wedding sent to us by Cedarwood. The pure beauty of the outdoor church, the abundance of handmade details, the loveliest shade of grey bridesmaid dresses, all come together perfectly for an event that is swoon freaking central. Photographed by Leslee Mitchell, this day is total eye candy for all of you nature lovers or DIY’ers or anyone that just loves a perfectly sweet wedding. Click here to see even more!

What do you do when you love the outdoors but want to get married in a church? You bring the church outdoors! That’s exactly what Cedarwood, an all-inclusive historic venue in Nashville, Tennessee does when they create their stunning Outdoor Cathedral. Ten foot Gothic church windows and antique carved solid Oak church pews set in a green summer meadow is a site to make anyone pause at the beauty of God’s handiwork.
Ivory and butter-cream flowers with pops of golden yellow in vintage blue mason jars juxtaposed with mercury glass and bejeweled votive holders for a country feel with designer flair. The grounds of Cedarwood are both a photographer’s dream and challenge (so many spaces for creative shots!) but the talented Leslee Mitchell was up to the task. Photos of Megan and Bret in the vintage glider, a bicycle for two, and Cedarwood barn are among our favorite wedding day portraits. Leslee even managed to catch a shot of bird houses by the property’s vintage Airstream — a decor theme complimented with Megan’s bird house ‘churches’ that adorned the program table and stone wall.
Instead of a traditional guest book, Megan had friends take Polaroid photos of arriving guests and invited them to leave comments in a wedding photo album. Framed family photos carried out the photo welcome theme, and even included a framed original of Megan’s great grand parents Germany marriage certificate – from 1904!

Where are the brides maids dresses from? So beautiful. This wedding makes my heart happy!
I love those pillows - where are they from?
Every detail is stunning!
I second the question about the bridesmaid dresses... love those!
So sweet! i love the grey & turquoise! (and the peanut brittle!)
If this bride would be interested in selling those keys, I'd *totally* love that. I've be searching antique stores for months! Beautiful wedding!
Simply beautiful wedding with such fun details! LOVE the table numbers. A how to on that would be FANTASTIC!!! Also, I would be interested in knowing the exact color of the bridesmaid dresses.
WOW! Could the details and overall look of the wedding be any better? It's perfect
Beautiful! I love the light colors.
I'm absolutely loving all these wonderful comments. I'm Megan the designer and bride of this wedding!!
Caitlyn, love the colors! and Megan: The bridesmaids dresses are actually from dessy.com. They have an amazing selection of dresses. The color is 'taupe' although its more of a grey with a slight lilac undertone than a traditional taupe.
Heidi Boeckmann: The pillows I actually handmade. I do sell them, I have a FB page "Jubilation Creations" where you can check out more items I have, everything I do is customizable. Feel free to email me at JubilationCreations@gmail.com I would LOVE to hear from you!!!
Thank you again for all the comments!!!
Kaleigh Williams: I see where you are interested in purchasing the skeleton keys, I do have 12 left from the wedding, they also doubled as favors for our guests but I would be happy to sell them to you!! Give me a shout at my email address below! Thanks!!
Megan: If you see my above comment, on that website I will putting up kits on how to make the table numbers for the wedding along with other ideas I have. Feel free to email me!!

Megan,
LOVE all the details!!! I am especially in love with those bridesmaid dresses :) I've looked on the Dessy site, but can't seem to find which ones you used...do you mind providing the style numbers? My best friend is getting married next April and she specifically sent me the site saying how much she absolutely loved them....she's had trouble finding something she loves!
Thanks a ton :)
Jen
Hey Jen!
Sure thing!! They are: After Six Bridesmaid Style 6524; Dessy Bridesmaid Style 2787; and After Six Bridesmaid Style 6585. They should all be there on the dessy.com site! Hope this helps!!
Megan
Megan was a joy for the Cedarwood team. Leslie Mitchell is a great talent. Working on this wedding was so much fun. We feel like the luckiest people in the world to do what we love to do!
Megan,
Your wedding is absolutely beautiful!! I was wondering where you got the table number holders from...I've been looking for months, and I love the ones you have. Thanks so much!!
Christine.
I'd love to know what the table number holders are from to! I'd LOVE them in gold.
This is a definitely "where's it from post"! Congrats Megan!
Thanks ya'll. The table number holders are actually from Cedarwood, have you checked estate sales, flea markets, or antique shops?? We have a ton around here and they usually have things like that.
Such a gorgeous outdoor wedding... simple and stunning!
AMAZING!!! What are the handkerchiefs? Were those things you made?
I had the pleasure of attending this beautiful wedding. The pictures are stunning ... but the event live, was even more beautiful!!! I am also a friend to Megan and Brett, and they are both wonderful people and made this wedding a joy to attend. Megan's a delightful young women and she has such an eye for great details. The pictures make me smile everytime I look at them!!! Best Wishes
Love this wedding, stunning pictures
what an amazing day,
some very unique ideas congratulations
I love this wedding. Wow, so well put together and vivid. The bride is so beautiful too.
These are beautifully taken photos! really love the richness of the colours
Love the flowers, what a fab colour combination, really dreamy!
Best seating chart I've ever seen!
Hi there! How did you find all of those keys? Did you collect them at antique stores, or can you suggest somewhere I might be able to find vintage keys online?
Love this wedding!
My fiance got incredibly excited when he saw corn hole boards... was the "XOXO" pattern a stencil or applique, or were the boards painted by hand?
I'm not sure I can make excuses anymore for my attempt to ban corn hole... not when it's this cute :)
AMAZING! Every single gorgeous detail made my mouth drop open. Absolutely dreamy, of course loved the outdoor "church" but the "key to your seat" really got me.
Wow, this is so cool! I'm the groom's aunt and we attended this gorgeous wedding. The venue and all was beautiful, but it was Megan's and her parent's special touches that made it so awesome. And Leslee's photography....well, it speaks for itself.
Christine,
Cornhole is so much fun!!! I actually made the boards with the help of my husband and I handpainted them as well. I found a "template" of the lettering I love and painted it as close as possible on the boards by hand. I'm happy to sell you a set if you want. I can really do anything as long as it's not trademarked. Thanks for your comments!
Megan
Wow, what a lovely wedding!
I'm curious about the shoes. They look beautiful and I'd like a closer look -- where are they from?
Megan,
Congrats! Your wedding was absolutely beautiful!
Can you tell us where you got the ceremony program?
Thanks!
This photographer's work is amazing! I just visited her blog. WOW!!! I've never seen photography like this. Can I find more of her work on Style Me Pretty?
Hi Megan,
Congratulations! Loved seeing your pictures and so impressed by your creativity! Im collecting blue Mason/Ball jars to give the same effect you did, but cant seem to find near as many as I need! Do you have a resource suggestion?
Thanks so much! Carol
I LOVE the blue and grey progams...did you make them? If not where did you get them? The heat with different words for love is adorable! My sister is thinking of doing blue and grey for her wedding and after seeing these I think it is a must :) Amazing wedding and love the the DIY.
absolutely flawless!!
Nicole and Ashley: I actually handmade these programs myself. if you email me I will put together a DIY or I would be happy to make them for your sister's wedding Ashley. Just let me know. My email is listed above in a comment I posted earlier.
Carol: I actually don't know where they are from, Cedarwood has an amazing work room that has tons of knick knacks and these were some of them! I would suggest flea markets, estate sales or even antique stores. I know I've seen several in local antique stores around town.
Alissa: Are you referring to my bridal shoes or the bridesmaids shoes?? Mine are by Nina and are from a dept store and the bridesmaids shoes are by Steve Madden and I found them at DSW, unfortunately I actually snagged the last pairs in the state of TN when I purchased them, I had to go to 3 different stores to find them!!
Where is this photographer based? Her work blows me away!! Is she from Birmingham?
These photos are amazing!
I was wondering the same thing about the photographer who shot this wedding. Does anyone know if she has a studio in Atlanta? I would love to use her for my wedding. She captures the soul.
GORGEOUS Ceremony Set up! I LOVE the windows and church pews!!! I too am having an outdoor ceremony, and was hoping for some ways to incorporate a church feel! I wanted to somehow hang a large stained glass window behind us, but I love the set up you had at Cedar Wood!
Were the church pews from a rental company? Also- where did those amazing window structures come from?
Thanks for sharing!!! And Congrats!! :D -Andrea
Great photos! Saw some more work Leslee did at another location in Franklin and loved them as well!
Andrea,
Thank you so much! The church pews and windows actually come as an exclusive upgrade package at Cedarwood. They are truly amazing and one of the main reasons that I chose Cedarwood as my venue. You sound like you're on a great track though and I'm sure with a cool rigging using metal or wood you could come up with a great way to display the stained glass windows!
