California Wedding by Cameron Ingalls Photography
We’re really excited about the next couple of weddings. For one, they’re GORGEOUS. But more exciting, they have been documented by a few new faces to SMP! We’ve asked a couple of our favorite bloggers to guest blog for us and I couldn’t be more thrilled about the additions. So, without further ado, meet Emilia Jane…the absolutely, positively adorable voice behind the blog Sweet Emilia Jane!

This wedding by Cameron Ingalls Photography is chock full of the sweetest little details and a whole lot of heart. With rich textures, a stunning venue on the central California coast and plenty of personal touches, it is the perfect blend of feminine chic and rustic casual elegance. Seriously, can you go wrong with ruffles, feathers and ponies? And that Holly Stalder dress? Heaven. Beyond the fabulous details, I love that this creative couple was super earth friendly using local vendors and serving their favorite local food. Check out the full gallery for even more; you won’t want to miss a thing! xoxo, Emilia Jane

From the bride, Ellie:
I searched wedding blogs – especially Style Me Pretty and Green Wedding Shoes – to get inspiration. We didn’t really have wedding colors or a theme. Rather, I looked for fabrics, flowers, and other décor with texture and tried to stick to a muted color pallet that would complement the beauty of our location rather than distract from it.
Much to my delight, I found tons of creative and non-traditional ideas to borrow online. For example, we used painter’s drop clothes for the table linens, cut burlap for the table runners, automotive shop towels for napkins and bathroom hand towels, rocks for escort “cards”, and succulents to triple as table décor/name tags/favors. We didn’t want a guest book that would be read once and stored on shelf so, instead, we asked guests to sign their names on a pair of vintage wooden skis that we could then hang in our house. Not only did this incorporate our love of skiing but we are reminded of all the wonderful friends and family that helped us celebrate our marriage every time we walk by them.
Our wedding really came together with the help of our wonderful and talented family and friends. We had so much help bringing our wedding together. Not only could we have not done it without help of friends and family but working with them made the process all the better!

Her dress is so so lovely!
You're right Emilia Jane ~ feathers, ruffles and ponies = perfection! Love this wedding.
Welcome to SMP!!
What a gorgeous bride and celebration! This is great inspiration for my own upcoming, outdoor California wedding!
Amazing light like that is only in California!!!
Beautiful dress, totally ethereal and yet totally not prissy.
Love the little stones for placecards.
I heart dogs in weddings (especially bc I couldn't fly my own to Mexico for my wedding! It's jealousy!). This is so pretty.
And love seeing Miss Emilia on SMP!
Love Cameron's work and dogs in a wedding are too great! Love their colors and florals!
Wow, I LOVE that bouquet!!!
the boutonniere and bouquet are super pretty and unique! love the gown as well!
The venue is gorgeous! Where did this loveliness take place?
Why just walk your dogs down the street when you could walk them down the aisle!? love it!
How lovely! Sarah & Nikki at Fluidbloom Designs do amazing work. Always so fresh, natural and unique. I also admire how Cameron makes everyone look famous and glamorous in his photos.
so very lovely!
LOVE IT! This is magical and all the effort and love truly shows. I have my own wedding in September and I too am trying to find inspiration from others... I love the set up of your tables? What size are they and where did you get the burlap runners (my mom has offered to make but curious your width deminsions) Thanks for sharing you day.
Hi all,
I just wanted to answer a few questions and thank Style Me Pretty for the feature, Cameron and his team for the AMAZING photos, and everyone for their kind comments. So excited!!!
Christina: The wedding was held at a private ranch in Arroyo Grande, California
Danielle: We put 2 and 3 8'x40" tables together to form long banquet-style tables. My sister and I cut the burlap runners ourselves from wholesale burlap that I ordered from http://www.onlinefabricstore.net/
We ended up cutting the runners so that they were ~14" wide.
Hope this helps and thanks again!
I have one more question for you.....where oh where did you find the automotive shop towels you used for napkins? We are serving bbq and ribs and this would be absolutely perfect. Such a clever idea!! And I am in awe at how beautiful your wedding was, definitely one of my all time favorites!
So earthy & natural - LOVE the little succulent favors, and how perfect that they also double as seating cards!
This was such an amazing wedding!! Being a part of it and helping my sister (Ellie) get ready for everything was such a blast, along with the grand production of the wedding itself (duh). I definitely appreciate all of the work that she put into planning it along with the amazing venues that helped tie everything together. Thanks to all of the special details, this wedding described the couple's roots in their hometown. It was truly magical being able to celebrate their love for one another. Congratulations again JC & Ellie!!!
Hi Raeann,
Thanks so much! I ordered the shop towels in bulk from http://www.jcwhitney.com/ . Just as a heads up, they arrived smelling of gasoline so I'd definitely order them well in advance of your wedding so you have plenty of time to wash them. We also found they shrunk up quite a bit in the dryer and ended up just letting them air-dry. But, they made great napkins and hand towels for the bathroom and now we have an endless supply of cleaning rags for the house!
Hope this helps!
Such a beautiful wedding! I love the table decor and the rustic earthy theme. It all turned out beautiful and definitely highlighted the gorgeous outdoor setting. Plus the bride and groom are adorable!
I plan to find out the theme for wedding. This is the good article! Thanks for your sharing. I will bookmark this site for sure!
I love your dress! Who is the designer? Beautiful!
Hi Melissa,
Holly Stalder made my dress and shrug. She worked with me to make a custom piece and it ended up being so fun and waaaayyyy cheaper than buying a "traditional" wedding dress. Plus, now I have a cool shrug to wear out and about!
Ellie it looks amazing! I'm bummed I couldn't make it. I love the hanging pictures from the tree....but my favorite is definitely the addition of your pups :).
Hi stylme readers! This wedding was beautiful. We at eating-made-easy.com recently attended a very well done wedding in the L.A. area. The food was southern comfort themed and catered by an environmentally sustainable company. We took photos and wrote a review:

I think this is a wonderful way to see the many ways a couple can have a successful, special day. Hope you check it out and enjoy.
Thanks,
Amelia
Hi there, just wandered by. I have a Cricut website. Amazing the amount of information on the web. Not what I was looking for, but interesting page. Take care.
