We are piling on the inspiration today but there is nothing wrong with that now, is there? Terra Dawn Photography recently sent over this capital A-Awesome photo shoot and it resides in a place where strawberry shortcake and farmers markets go hand in hand. Think country, homemade apple pie, horses, gorgeous wedding inspiration and you’re on the right track. Pam Barefoot from ATrendy Wedding styled this pretty shoot to perfection and of course we can’t forget Holly from Holly Chapple Flowers who whipped up some yummy florals. All in all, we are thinking this might be the new A-Team of the wedding industry. So grab a comfy chair, stool, or stand if you must, but whatever you do – be sure to pop into the gallery for more down home inspiration from today’s shoot!

From Terra Dawn Photography:
I’ve always wanted to give back to a community who has given me so much. So this year, I teamed up with Little Black Vendors Pam Barefoot from ATrendy Wedding and Holly from Holly Chapple Flowers to create an experience that would astound any of the photographers in attendance. The workshop was held on June 17th, 2010 and was attended by 12 photographers, 2 models and a crazy amount of local DC vendors!
Although the theme changed a few times before the final result, the stunning country setting of the Black Horse Inn convinced us that perhaps a Farmers Market feel was the way to go. Pam and Holly (an amazing power house when you put them together) came up with the fun idea of a Strawberry Shortcake theme meets Farmers Market. (I think the horses loved this theme as well….seeing as how most of the Strawberry, shortcake and whipped cream ended up on their faces by the end of the evening….). Filling the back of Joe’s 1955 Award winning antique Chevy pick-up truck with flowers and home-grown foods was a stroke of genius on Pam and Holly’s part.
I still can’t get past how much every vendor contributed to this event!! Lynn from the Black Horse Inn in Warrenton was gracious enough to let us use her beautiful venue for the workshop portion in the morning as well as the shooting portion in the afternoon. Capital Decor gave us the go ahead to borrow anything they had available!! The chandeliers, barrels and tables helped make the entire shoot come together. Abby and Matt, the beautiful couple who are actually getting married on January 8th, 2011, were AMAZING!! Abby has such a fun sense of humor and Matt was layed back and willing to do whatever was asked of him. Katherine, from KP Hair and Make-up created 3 styles for the big event!! And she was able to pull all three off in record time!! It was amazing to watch her work! As the sun went down on the stunning scenes and the 12 photographers scrambled to beat the light, I reflected on the entire day. Between the perfect weather, the absolutely perfect team of vendors and contributors, and the amazing couple….the day was an absolute wedding dream.

SO adorable! The red & white palette, the overflowing baskets of fresh produce...it all comes together for a whimsical, country-chic look that is so perfect for this season. Beautifully done!
Who designed that dress... it is incredible!
I love the dress as well! I think it is Justin Alexander, I tried on the same one :)
The picture of a truckfull of flowers... so beautiful! that's not even a good enough word for it!
I want the picnic table cloth headband! How can I make that or purchase it?
Seriously?? I love you guys!! Thanks so much for the feature...I've been gushing about you all DAY!!!!
I just love the whole cream look'n'feel of the wedding photography!
Wow.... you continue to blow me away with your images and talent. These are just incredible. Magazine style for sure!
The florist actually designed the gingham headband. She even let me keep it! She said it wasn't too difficult to do, though. I'm sure you could contact her, refer to the shoot, and she'd know exactly what you're talking about.

Seriously in love with all of it! Such a sweet and romantic theme and I can't get over the brides incredible dress! Is that the one she'll be wearing in January for her wedding, too? Just gorgeous! Kudos to all the fabulous vendors involved in bringing such a fun vision to life! xoxo...anne

Hey Lisa!!!
I got the hat at Blush Bridal in Gainsville, VA!! If you give them a call (I wouldn't email...she's a busy lady and calling seems to be the best) she will know exactly which headpiece you are talking about!!!!
Congrats on your wedding day!!!
Such a very nice and lovely the dress!
Thanks for sharing it....
I reckon something genuinely interesting about your web site so I saved to bookmarks .
It is funny the girl looks almost 1940s but the guys look is modern - I like it - but think it would have looked better with the guy dressed in a World War II military uniform.
The wedding dress is Justin Alexander 8465 (in the coffee color). It retails for about $1200 depending on the salon. Hope this helps some ladies out :)
