This is such a cute love story, seriously killing me with the adorableness. This bride and groom met on…are you ready for this…eHarmony. Love it. And their sweet as pie courtship ended with a fabulous DIY wedding in the Midwest. Photographed by Katie Day, with styling by Sharon Taylor Designs, this is a study in all things bright and lovely. DIY brides, be sure to take notes and hop over to the gallery for lots, lots more.

From the Bride:
Jeremy had been hinting he had a surprise for me, but would not give any hints as to what it was. We were about to ride our bicycles to the Ozark Empire Fair, when Jeremy told me to close my eyes and not open them until he told me to. When he said to open them, he was down on one knee holding a ring and asked me to marry him. While very sweet, his simple proposal seemed odd to me because he usually likes to do things in a big way. When I asked him why he had not planned a more elaborate proposal, he said, “Because when I finally received the ring, I just couldn’t wait any longer and just wanted to hear you say ‘yes.’
From Sharon Taylor:
Nicole designed the invitations and stationery based on “historic forms of communication,” including using a postcard, telegram, and train ticket style for the save the date, invitation, and program. This theme was then carried out throughout the wedding, using old telephones, rubber stamps photo holders, and old radios as décor. Nicole enjoys history, old buildings, and antiques and the groom is a history teacher, so the historic feel of the stationery and wedding was right up their alley.

Ahhh!!!! I saw this wedding when Katie Day posted it on facebook and fell in love. I'm getting married at the Historic Firehouse in December and the styling of this wedding is along the lines of what I plan to do. I LOVE it!!!
I think Liz Lemmon says it best on 30 Rock, "I want to go to there!"
I adore how this wedding is a little whimsical but still sophisticated. It's colorful, but no obnoxious. What an adorable couple!
Oh dear. I have massive shoe and bouquet envy! I adore the dashes of purple. So chic!
That proposal story is adorable!
I love the color accents in this wedding. The bridal bouquet is fantastic! :)
I love the dashes of colors! So adorable! I also love those pillows... where did you get them?
I love the bright colored throw pillows on the brown leather couch. Any idea where these came from?
I'm loving all of the colors of this wedding, and that bright blue VW! SO CUTE! :D
First off, thanks to Erin and Abby for the SMP feature! xo
I had so much fun working with the sweetest bride ever, who, along with her sister, has the cutest accent ever...from the Boothill of MO!!
Sarah, and Jude, the vintage pillows are from a friend of mine who sells antiques. She has a local shop, here in Springfield, MO. The Market, in the Brentwood Shopping Center.
Absolutely darling and CLEVERRRRRRRRR!
Wow, love the photography. The colors are amazing. Great details, too.
Beautiful wedding!! I love the shoes!!! Where did you get them please?
Is the dress Casablanca Bridal 1900? It looks so stunning, such a wonderful dress and beautiful wedding.
