Good Morning SMP’ers. We hope you had a lovely, lovely weekend. We are going to start this week off au naturel with an outdoor celebration on a working farm in Northern California. Sent to us by photographer Mary McHenry, this DIY soiree comes complete with fuzzy wuzzy animals and tons of delicious organic food…oh and a ridiculously good looking barn. Check out the gallery for more from this day and tons of great inspiration for all of you barn brides out there.
Barrie and Ariel were married on May 30, 2010 at Chileno Valley Ranch -a beautiful spot in the rolling hills, about 45 minutes north of San Francisco. The wedding was beautiful, organic, natural, laid back. There was so much of themselves in the details -the fava beans from the amazing crostini appetizer was from their own backyard garden in Oakland. Ariel sang a song to Barrie during the reception, Barrie’s best friend made the skirt she wore and Barrie made her top and veil. Ariel’s sister did the flowers. Barrie also re-made her favorite shoes to match the ensemble by spray painting them gold! The ranch is a working farm, and only takes a very select number of weddings a year. The weather was perfection and there was an air of magic about the whole night.
