If you’re dreaming of a garden inspired wedding filled to the brim with sweet, girly details that will make your guests swoon…today is your very lucky day. The New England team of vendors headed up by Paper Moss and Megan Chapin Calligraphy, with photography by Public Image Photography and florals by Studio 539 Flowers, designed a Garden inspired shoot that will make your heart go pitter patter. Seriously. It’s so stinking pretty, I kind of want to steal every last detail for my wedding re-do. My favorite part, aside from the insanely gorgeous invitation suite that Paper Moss crafted? The milk and cookies. I kind of think every wedding should have milk and cookie favors. To see TONS of additional details, click right here.

From Paper Moss…It has been quite the adventure bringing this fabulous inspiration board to life and we are thrilled to share it with all of you! Our photo shoot’s theme, ‘Vintage Country Chic’, is a timeless juxtaposition of historical inspiration, elements of nature and a hint of sophistication. After sharing our vision with a power team of New England based wedding professionals, we set them loose to use their expertise and our vision came right into place.
We aimed to create a whimsical and romantic ambiance which was a perfect match for our jeweler and florist. We worked together to combine intricate details such as varying textures, bringing together antiques and sprinkling items that reflect the bride and groom throughout the scene. Our venue of choice was an old farmhouse in Connecticut that effortlessly enhanced all aspects of our shoot. (I mean, who wouldn’t like a dresser or wedding cake in the middle of a field, right?) We fell in love with the wedding gown and its hints of vintage decor, beautifully paired with chandelier earrings. And the bridal bouquet? We think it speaks for itself.
And of course… the stationery. Keeping in mind that the invitations set the tone of the wedding itself, we wanted these to be unique to the Vintage Country Chic concept. The monogram key logo was partially inspired by a quote by Frederick Saunders that we recently heard at a wedding:
“My heart to you is given:
Oh, do give yours to me;
We’ll lock them up together,
And throw away the key.”
Those words have stuck with us in the months since and while scavenging through antique markets upon a box of old fashioned keys, well… that sealed the deal! Paper Moss is always up for thinking outside the box, but in this case, we started with the box and worked around that. Invitations and coordinating handkerchiefs were printed on linen, while all other letter pressed enclosures tucked sweetly in a custom monogrammed muslin bag that encompassed the natural, country look we were aiming for. Sprigs of lavender and rosemary were placed throughout the wedding, and we wanted there to be a presence of that in the invites. Filling the boxes with lavender buds, we rolled the linen invitation and tied it with bakers twine, topping it off with vintage stamps and contrasting white calligraphy. (Who said you had to be a traditional bride to like calligraphy?) From writing on window panes to tags, it is the perfect final touch.
The planning and execution of this SMP opportunity was more fun than we could have imagined.

I so love seeing random furniture items in wilderness settings. There's always something magical and welcoming about it. I always wonder when you see a wedding so elaborately planned like this, whether they have a bad contingency plan?
What a beautiful shoot! I have been looking for table numbers identical to these for the past six months but cannot find them anywhere. Any hints on where I can get these?
Oh this is fantastic!! Paper Moss and Megan Chapin are two of my current vendors for my upcoming wedding, and I can speak firsthand that I am not surprised at all that this is so beautiful! They are both SOOO talented!!

That linen invitation is absolutely to die for. Such a gorgeous shoot!
LOVE the Shoes!!!!! I must have them!!!!
Everything is so gorgeous! I am envious! Random question - I am writing our seating chart on vintage windows also and I am wondering if you used paint or a certain type of pen? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Lindsey,
I used liquid chalk, which is really wonderful because it can be removed so easily with water if you make a mistake! But it is really wonderful because it doesn't brush off like regular chalk.
I was able to get the chalk at Michael's.
Good luck.
Thank you all for the compliments...it was so awesome to work with all these vendors, but especially Emily at Paper Moss.
Sarah I'd happily write all over your house!
Megan - Thanks so much for the info! Fabulous job... I am inspired!
WOW. All I can say is wow. That may be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I am a huge sucker for garden weddings, and if I can get time to remotely Shadow that I will be a lucky girl.

Beautiful eye candy to remind me of all that I love! You guys were spot on with every possible detail!! Linen invitations?! Amazing photogrophy! And Megan's calligraphy is sooo beautiful! And on a box! And with multiple stamps! Boxes, stamps, calligraphy and old keys are some of my very favorite things!! The perfect look! And the favors are so...perfect! (Anything with lettering tucked alongside it looks perfect! Lyndsey's lettered house will look perfect *big grin*)
I just forwarded this link to a couple just starting to plan their wedding. I hope you all get inquiries :0)
The caligraphy in white ink on the envelopes is elegant!! Those envelopes set the tone for the entire wedding experience. Wonderful mix of casual and formal elements in the garden wedding. Is that laavender in the "Blessings" bowl?
The calligraphy is wonderful!! Such a great idea with the window seating chart.
The Paper Moss work is amazing! I love the detail.

amazing dress...it makes me want to get married again (to my husband) just so I could wear that dress!
What dress is this exactly? I love the sleeves! It reminds me a bit of Charlotte's dress from SNTC when she married Harry.
hello mjr,
the wedding gown is by augusta jones and its called destiny. we love the cap sleeves as well!
This is a beautiful, charming, eclectic collection. I am so glad to have a forum to brag about my daughter's unbelievable talent. Megan's lettering appears to float over the paper. Her work continues to amaze me more and more every day. All of the people involved in this fabulous website deserve a big hand for an outstanding and gorgeous wedding shoot.
Question - Were the outside pictures taken in Canterbury, NH. Seems I've seen the view before.
Every detail of this "insired" wedding is gorgeous! Even Martha Stewart is drooling! The callilgraphy is the crowning touch. Megan, your work is outstanding.
Kudos to the entire team.
