Holy Gorgeousness. If you are all about ROMANCE, this next shoot will surely be your cup of tea. Held at Villa Montalvo in Northern California, and fashioned after the beloved Jane Austen novel Pride and Prejudice, this is one of those shoots that makes you rethink every little detail thus planned for your wedding. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Designed and styled by Anne Sage of the phenomenal blog The City Sage and photographed by our fave Lisa Lefkowitz with florals by the FAB Sharla Flock, along with a gaggle of other amazing vendors, this is going down in the SMP history book as one of the most romantic shoots ever. Watch what happens when modern day Elizabeth and Darcy get married…I think Jane Austen would whole heartedly approve. {Click here for the full gallery of gorgeous}

And you are in luck because even more of this pretty shoot is being featured in the current issue of Nonpareil Magazine. Hop on over for more flowers, girly gorgeousness and hunky Darcy. In our opinion, you can never have enough Jane Austen.
From Anne Sage of The City Sage:
In Jane Austen’s England, tradition held that weddings took place in the early morning; the union was then celebrated with a breakfast reception after the ceremony. But what if Darcy and Elizabeth lived today?
We channeled a sensibility that I call ‘Regency Modern’. Like ‘Pride and Prejudice’ itself, it’s a study in contrast; the refined, neoclassical sensibilities of Darcy meet with the wild, heartstrong tendencies of Elizabeth. We combined a romantic palette and lighthearted patterns–stripes, polka dots and butterfly chinoiserie–with formal table settings, empire-inspired gowns and accessories, and gilt accents throughout. The result? An update on the traditional wedding breakfast for the contemporary bride and groom, one that combines the elegance of weddings past with the playful individualism of the present.

STUNNING!
Thank you for including me, Anne! Feel so lucky to have contributed a little something to such a gorgeous shoot with so many talented people participating!
Beautiful!
I love it! Country opulence at its best!
Talk about PERFECTION!!!! This is insanely stunning down to the last detail! Extremely inspired by this.
look at that groom... he looks so dapper in his velvet blazer!
I wish that the boleros weren't custom! I want one!
OMG!!! Love, love, love this shoot- Pride and Prejudiceis one of my favorite books/movies of all time. Thans for the inspiration!
These are beautiful shots. For a beautiful venue on 5th avenue check out www.Midtownloft.net!
Oh my goodness, this has to be one of the best photoshoots I have seen and I do not exaggerate. I am not very easy to please in that regard. I love the unique ideas, and details in it from start to finish and that is a big deal for me because that is what I do. I am a big fan of people taking things and using them to fit their personalities, and I have so much trouble with the fact that brides today don't express much individuality despite the fact that we are all so lucky to be alive in this day and age where we can actually do that without being excommunicated or shamed or many of the things that happened back in previous times.
Thanks so much for sharing this and for the immense ways in which you are not only inspiring me (in what I do as a creative and offbeat wedding planner) but also the brides out there that want and choose to be themselves in everyway :)!
Cheers!
ps...Pride and prejuidice is absolutely my favorite movie ever, which is such a bonus for me to see this in addition to all the creativity that went into it!
Amazing, absolutely amazing!! The colors and details are absolutely stunning. And the scarf!!
Faint, swoon, die. This is GORGEOUS - models, florals, setting, WOW!! Insane.
LOVE the original A&E movie series -- what a lovely interpretation!
BEAUTIFUL! But more than the aesthetics: a big HIP HIP HURRAH for an interracial couple. Yes, they're models, and yes, I know it's a photo shoot, but with the Jane Austen spin, this feature could have went an entirely different way and I'm really pleased to see an updated, modern approach.
GORGEOUS! love the florals.
I just LOVE this shoot. My wedding is coming up on July 23rd and my inspiration for putting it all together was a mix between Marie Antoinette and Jane Austen and I think I am going to have to steal some last minute ideas from this shoot, especially the bolero jackets for the bridesmaids! Thanks so much for sharing this!
Beautiful! Jane Austen would be proud.
Great job on this shoot - I am in love with the colour scheme, the florals, the fashions! Absolutely dreamy :)
among many things that everyone loves about this....i, for one, loooooove that Madeleine was featured in this - haven't seen it around wedding that much!
So beautiful! I can't get over how amazing this shoot was! Fantastic, Fabulous Inspiration! I am definitely inspired and I am sending many brides to this post to be inspired as well!
Absolutely amazing!!!
What beautiful colours. The suit matches the muted hues in the table and the centrepieces are to die for!
