I think Texas is in the running with California for prettiest weddings ever and this little number photographed by Anahi Navarro just might give it that extra nudge. Jaclyn and Ben, the fab couple behind the day, had a gorgeous outdoor celebration and managed to incorporate pretty floral parasols, green kicks and a marching band. Now that is some impressive party planning. Be sure to march on over to the gallery for more from Team Texas.

When we walked through the door at our ten-year high school reunion in June of 2008, we never imagined we would find love inside. After spending the rest of the summer getting reacquainted, we began dating. Then one beautiful spring day on top of Enchanted Rock, we were engaged and wedding panning was in full swing. I know I stand with a countless number of people in saying that my wedding day was the happiest day of my life, but I really don’t know how else to describe it.
We knew from the moment we stepped out of the car at Puesta del Sol Sobre El Arroyo this was our venue. The breathtaking landscape combined with the natural rustic décor, was just what we were looking for. We both agreed on an outdoor ceremony and reception. Puesta del Sol, had everything we were looking for and we immediately saw ourselves standing under the arbor holding hands and saying our vows. Once we had the venue selected we began working on the theme and vision of our wedding day. Rustic-Vintage is what we coined our theme and it worked out flawlessly.
I knew from the beginning, I waned our wedding to be all about the details. So, our wedding consisted of a lot of Do it Yourself projects. We spent many late nights working in my mother’s dining room or garage. My parents home looked like an arts and crafts store. I got many of my DIY ideas from the numerous blogs I looked at daily. My favorite ones were Style Me Pretty and Green Wedding Shoes. One of our most favorite DIY projects was our wooden table number blocks. I had a vision of how I wanted them to look. Try explaining this to your fiancé, father and some of his buddies and you get many opinions. I wanted a wooden block with our initials, J&B and a number for each table. In the end, Ben and my father spent about 6 hours in the garage one cold night cutting, branding and staining the wooden blocks. The turned out perfect and everyone loved them. Ben admired his handy work so much he said he will make sure to put one out every year for our corresponding wedding anniversary, until we run out of numbers!!
I wanted our grand entrance to be special and unique. I decided to have a drumline complete with marching tubas lead us in.. Ben recruited several students of the Mercedes High School Marching Band help pull this surprise off. When were announced the drum line began playing a cadence and lead us out on to the dance floor. Our guests loved it, everyone had their hands in the air cheering with us as we got the party started.

Hey Girls! I found the shoes! Actually, my mom found them, but they are by Nina and called Electra. The color is apple green and can be found on Zappos.com!
Have fun!
Yes, the shoes are from Nina and they were awesome. The bridesmaid dresses are from JCPennys last year, so I dont know if they will be easy to find. Best of Luck to you all on your wedding day.
