Australian Wedding by NGG Studios

We are starting the week off really right here at SMP. This Australian wedding is literally a little slice of heaven. It’s the beach, it’s the flowers, it’s the understated elegance … all of it together makes for one stunning day. NGG Studios sent us this gem of a wedding and we are seriously DYING over it. The bride and groom are both surfers and decided to celebrate their nuptials in a place that is near and dear to their hearts– in a little house by the shore with a scrumptious color pallet and some laid back coastal style. You know what we say to that…GORGEOUS! oh and happy, happy Monday. Check out the gallery for more from this pretty day.

Luke and I met while we were both living and working in London 6 years ago, saving money to see more of the world. Both being surfers, me from Sydney, Luke the Gold Coast, we bonded via our love of the sea. We spent the next 18 months living together in that time we did trips to Europe, America and Sri Lanka. On return to Australia, we eventually decided to settle in Luke’s home town of the Gold Coast.

I was ecstatic when Luke proposed on the beach at South Stradbroke Island as I had been ready and waiting for some time! And so began 9 months of creative delight! We liked the idea of being married in Byron Bay. It has such a magic atmosphere. We weren’t so keen on being married in a public place with all eyes gawking and liked the idea of a private house, where only our guests were involved and we could have total control over the food, drinks and my favorite part, the decoration. Admittedly this would be more work, but I was up for the task. I finally found the perfect house. This excited me more than the dress the shoes etc. Viewing the house for the first time was like a little adventure. It can’t be seen from the street and the entry is from Bangalow Road and you have to drive down, then up a long driveway before finally finding the house over a rise. We liked the idea of our guests going on a mini adventure to find it! The house is all about the view; it’s breathtaking and the sunsets……to die for!!

Incredible! This wedding has all those little details that make me fall in love with them. The "over here guys" sign post and "loved up lager" are just so creative and adorable. Also, the view = to die for. It just doesn't get any more scenic than that! Gorg!

I am honoured to have been a Bridesmade. I loved this wedding - even though it was the
first one i'd ever been too. Alana's my cousin and it was beautiful to be able to help organise and
make things the day before the wedding to help decorate :)
