If you are just now tuning in, we are in full on wedding mode with features every single hour. Hope you brought your stamina because this next one is oh so pretty. You know how some people are so crazy talented, it should be illegal? Well that would be our next bride. She is a clothing designer by day and a wedding planning goddess by night. Not only did she design all of her bridesmaids gowns, but also her mothers as well as all of the fabric used at her wedding. Now that is some serious DIY. This classic beauty took place at the Misquamicut Club and Liz Banfield was on hand to photograph all of the New England fun. Be sure to click on the gallery for more from this pretty day.

The bride, a clothing designer and president of her own line Elizabeth McKay, masterminded all the style details for this extraordinary event. She designed her bridesmaids’ dresses (right down to the antique coin buttons), her mother’s gown, and all the fabrics used throughout the stylishly decorated tent. Interlocking “E” monogram, designed by Caroline Brackenridge of Monogram Inc., was a motif that was repeated throughout the reception.
The couple chose Watch Hill where the Jenkins family has owned a vacation home with a dramatic view of the Atlantic ocean for many years. The bride needed only walk one block up the street to the storybook church, the Watch Hill Chapel , a English Gothic structure built in 1877. Black tie was the dress code with the groom and groomsmen in white tie, tails, and gloves. The tented reception at the venerable Misquamicut club interior evoked a “great Gatsby” era décor. Lounge areas featured fabric designed by the bride. The table numbers were superimposed on vintage family photographs, framed at each table. The bride integrated shells and calligraphy throughout. After a sit-down dinner, the guests danced until the wee hours to a 15-piece orchestra. A cigar station (with custom wrappers) and candy bar were brought out mid-reception.

I love the table number idea!
Yikes! The groom's gloves seem a little creepy. With the tails he looks a too much like a waiter. I wonder what the thought process was behind it since the father of the bride wasn't wearing them.
The bridesmaids' bouquets look great, the calla lilies give the whole wedding a special touch
What an amazing collaboration of artists. Everything was storybook perfect. Here is to happily everafter. All the best, Jen
Lovely! I think this colour palette was just perfect - lots of cool white... refreshing and elegant. And I love the simple centerpieces too - lilies and orchids always look so classy. It's nice to see examples of flowers done with a bit of restraint vs. towering candelabras w/florals pouring out of the walls.
Does anyone know where the welcome/gift bags are from? They are fabulous and I adore the monogram!
Where did you get the welcome bags from? Printed? Thanks!! Gorgeous!
I'll see what I can find out about the bags. The monogram of course was designed by Monogram Inc. I am pretty sure they were screen printed but it's possible they were embroidered.
The interior tent photos are excellent. Whoever designed the layout and chose the rental products did a wonderful job.
