Garden Wedding in Georgia
Some of my most favorite weddings on Style Me Pretty are the family made affairs…you know, the weddings that were literally built by mothers and fathers, cousins, sisters, friends and of course, the bride and groom. The wedding took place at Smith Gilbert Gardens, an undiscovered gem in Kennesaw, GA. Martha’s parents are both accomplished gardeners and volunteer at the gardens, which is how Martha found out about the venue.
The entire day was filled with unique and meaningful touches from the bonsai centerpieces grown by the brides father to the wedding pictures from three generations on the sign in table. Martha walked down a pinwheel lined aisle and married her groom under the shade of a giant tree. During the ceremony the guests joined the couple in singing Amazing Grace, which was simply beautiful.
Cocktail hour took place adjacent to the rose garden where the lovely scent of the flowers perfumed the air. Guests enjoyed ice cold cucumber water as well as their adult beverages of choice. The reception took place under a festively decorated tent which featured bright yellow lanterns that had been hung by the groom the night before. The couple served heavy hors d’oeuvres and then treated their guests to a dessert buffet consisting of nine delicious cakes for them to sample.

SO bright and fun! Love the flowers and the loving feel
I love that bouquet and am so drawn to the picture of the pink corsage!
This wedding is so beautiful! I love the little cake "flag" signs - is there any information on how they were made or where they were ordered from?
I adore the fact that this family worked together to create a beautiful ceremony in a comfortable, natural environment. I especially love that the bride's bouquet was made up of garden-picked flowers, so clever!

Ellie, the flag signs were made by her planner. Noelle, the flower lollipops were made by her mother.

The paper and sticks for the flag's were bought at Michael's - they were SO simple to make. A printer, some scissors, and a little Elmer's glue. :) The stuff for the lollipops was bought from getsuckered.com, and they were fun to make.
