Ray Roman Films: Event DV’s Top 25!
All week, we’ve been paying tribute to The Little Black Book Cinematographers who were named by Event DV this year as the TOP event filmmakers of 2009! We’re thrilled to congratulate Ray Roman for being chosen as a Top 25 by his professional peers for this honor!!

Stephanie and Tim were married in Big Canoe, Georgia. They were an amazing couple with incredible personalities. The location was breathtaking, but it was extremely cold on the day of the wedding and we worried that they would move the wedding indoors. Stephanie was TOUGH, though ~ she never wore a jacket or a coat and needless to say, the wedding ceremony went off as planned! One of the funniest moments was at the ceremony when the officiant forgot Stephanie’s name (watch the clip below to see their reaction). I hope you enjoy this short film from their wedding as much as I enjoyed being there to document their special day …
A little bit about Ray …
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where I am married to my beautiful wife, Jessica, who is also my business partner. I am extremely passionate about changing the overall perception of wedding videos. I definitely believe that times have changed and more and more brides are becoming aware of the incredible wedding films being produced by talented filmmakers. I love when clients look at our work and almost always say the same thing “It looks like a movie!” “Is this a real wedding?” Even though this is a huge compliment, I always let brides know that even though it looks like a movie, we don’t film it like a movie. Our goal is to be as invisible as possible on the day of the wedding, so we don’t become a part of the event. I love what I do and always try and make each wedding the best wedding I’ve ever filmed. We are available to travel worldwide and are honored and humbled to have been included in EventDV’s list of the top 25 wedding filmmakers in the world.
One more quick note. Ask ANY couple from this series ~ where was their money best spent? We challenge you to find anyone who doesn’t say … the cinematographer!
