For this month’s featured wedding on The Bride’s Guide, Martha Stewart Weddings’ fabulous blog, we decided to take things to an entirely new level of ballroom gorgeousness. The wedding that we chose was planned by the incredible team at Details Details with flowers and design by White Lilac and photography by Victor Sizemore (who is awesome by the way) and is a lesson in all things chic. Ballroom chic that is. To see all of the gorgeous images, click here.

For this Southern California bride, Kellan’s vision was to get married with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop and selecting the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel would make those wishes come true. But days before her big day, we had to discuss Plan B and have her ceremony inside the ballroom due to storms coming in. With no ocean, we had to create intimacy and magic. Sunny from White Lilac draped off the walls and washed the fabric in soft light and light a chandelier under the chuppah. With a last minute runner and petals, and candles down the aisle, we created a path for Kellan that was just as special. With White Lilac’s magic touch and MANY MANY people, we transformed the ceremony and ballroom for dinner in 35 minutes! Soft ivory silk linen laid the foundation of soft cream white flowers with a hint of blush. Hyacinths, roses, tulips, hydrangeas, phaleo orchids filled the a variety of vases, mercury glass, silver vessels, and glass and even tiny bell jars. Lots and lots of candles, and Details from hot cocoa for the cold weather, flip flops for tired dancing feet (AND did these people dance!) mini desserts for late night treats and all the beautiful paper goods seen from the talented Nichelle. With a bit of luck, Kellan and Brandon were able to sneak out side for 7 minutes of photos with little to no rain.
