Last month we debuted THE cutest DIY project on the planet…perfectly sweet fabric yo-yo’s that the adorable duo at Posh Paperie designed. Well lucky for us, the girls along with the fab photographer Jackie Wonders, have agreed to contribute monthly projects to SMP and we’re back today with their latest little lovely. And it just might even be better than the last. Actually, I think it’s a tie for cuteness.

I mean, COME ON! How completely and totally adorable are these Candy Poppers. Perfectly placed on each dinner plate, they are that little bit of whimsy, little bit of sweetness that every wedding needs. Oh and did I mention that they are insanely easy. Just follow these super simple instructions and voila!

Materials
tissue paper roll
double stick tape
scissors
1.75 x 5 piece of cardstock
ribbon
page of crepe paper
candy

Step One: Place double stick tape on crepe paper put tissue paper roll on tape and roll across crepe paper apply tape on end of crepe paper and secure.
Step Two: Twist one end of crepe paper and secure with ribbon, tie in bow.
Step Three: Fill roll with candy.
Step Four: Twist other end and secure with ribbon, tie in bow.
Step Five: Fold cardstock and cut on an angle, to create a “flag” look write message and attach tag to finished roll.
Thank you so much to Elizabeth and Karrie at Posh Paperie for this fabulous DIY project…I am madly in love with everything you do including those gorgeous wedding invitations on your site. And to Jackie Wonders for photographing. You are a picture genius as always.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these. Way too cute...I wish I hadn't already madethe favors for my sister's bridal shower -- I'd certainly be making these.
I am going to pass out over the color and beauty of this post. Thank you for my fix today, Abby. A thousand times over, thank you.
We did something very similar for my son's wedding favor 4 years ago, just used plan tissue paper, curling ribbon and then a sticker with their wedding date and a thankyou. We filled ours with pink salt water taffy.
I'm curious as to the wedding ring the model has on her left hand. Any chance of getting more info on that?
thank
This is such a sweet idea! I may use this as a baby shower favor.
LOVE these! Super cute...
This is definitely going in my DIY book!
oh! sooooo cute! love these! karrie i recognize your hands and your ring. (;
Hi there! My ring is from Hearts on Fire. My husband had it made special in yellow gold.. happy ring hunting!
Schools are no longer allowed to use "tissue tubes" for any class projects due to health concerns... Probably overly conservative but best to be prudent when health is involved. These are cute but putting candy into the tubes gives me pause - is there an alternative?
O.K. the whole post is beautiful. Fantastic photos, great content but what I REALLY want to know about is the cutlery! Has anyone else noticed the cutlery?? Is it metal or plastic or what? I might officially be in a freak-out fit over it. If it's plastic I think I'll cry. Or I'll start using plastic. I haven't decided. i LOVE it.
such a clever idea! adorable. thx for the share. LOVE LOVE LOVE this blog by the way. my favorite blog amung all my other blog fixes.
Great idea! I love the simplicity of it! Love your blog!!
OH this is such a great idea! And it's good for children's parties and baptismals and baby showers too.
K, you could use paper towel rolls instead and cut them smaller. I would think that would eliminate any "ick" issues.
Very cute idea. And I'm pleased to see my dishware in a SMP post. Makes me feel stylish ;)
to reduce the "ick factor" you could use wrapped candies or put the candies in foil or a little cellophane or snack sized plastic bag before putting them into the tube.
cute idea - I'm going to do this with origami paper!
Hilary - I NEED to know where I can get you'r 'dishware'! I'm ass over head in love with them.
Blythe, the dishes are Sophie Conran by Portmeirion. They should be available at Macy's or any major department store. And happily, they are very reasonably priced!
I'm confused. These are really cute but they aren't "poppers". I assumed they would be like the ones that you pull apart and they pop.
You could easily make these into those
Does anyone know where to get the silverware? I LOOOOOOVE it, and think it may be plastic!!!??
I *think* the utensils are from Urban Outfitters, they are out of stock right now
YA-YA!! I totally just scored some of those awesome utensils!
Find them here: http://www.kikkerlandshop.com/cu04-w.html
These are like spirit sticks from cheerleading. Except pretty and well done! What a great favor idea and an easy DIY. Thanks for sharing!
does anyone know where to buy the SHEETS of crepe paper? and in these colors?? i LOVE this idea!!!
You can find sheets of crepe paper by looking up "crepe paper folds" online. There are some great deals!
Crackers (or poppers) that don't Pop?? No no! You have to put Cracker Snaps inside them!
