Chic & Short ~ A Little White Dress Wedding
Short white wedding dresses ~ quite the rage ~ but usually the setting is quite a bit different than you’re going to see in today’s wedding! Kelly ~ the beautiful bride ~ took her fashion experience to all new heights when she married Eric at the fascinating surroundings of the Angel Orensanz Foundation! But before we get to that, a few special getting ready shots from their fantastic photographer, Jason Walz …

This stylish wedding of Kelly & Eric’s took place on February 6, 2010 in New York City. The bride and groom got ready at the Bowery Hotel and had their wedding ceremony & reception at Angel Orensanz, an amazing and dramatic location that came to attention after Matthew Broderick & Sara Jessica Parker married there several years ago. The space is pretty incredible as you’ll see. The bride works in the fashion industry and was absolutely stunning. Her hair was done by her best friend Brian Fisher (from Fringe Salon), who was also her man of honor at the wedding. Her flowers and decor were done by her friend as well, Jessica Saal, a photo stylist with whom she works on photo shoots. And her makeup was done by Koji Higashino, with whom she has worked on photo shoots as well. The groom works in the music industry and there were several alternative rock group musicians in attendance including Conor Oberst and The Felice Brothers (who performed a few songs). M. Ward, another venerable musician, performed the first dance song with the official wedding band… For the rest of the evening, the incredible Dexter Lake Club Band performed, a group that has received much attention over the last year in the press. So, there were many personal connections to make everything happen.
We are simply blown away by the awesomeness of the study in contrasts throughout this entire day! Chic, elegant, whimsical, glamorous, fun, vintage, old-world … it pretty much had it all!! Congratulations Kelly and Eric and our thanks to Jason Walz for sharing!
