I am a city girl at heart but there is something about the country that is so calming, so comforting, it has me considering packing up and spending the rest of my days sipping lemonade on the porch overlooking flowery fields. That something might be the sheer gorgeousness of this lovely wedding sent by ultra fab Little Black Book photographer, Jenna Walker. The mountains of Colorado proved to be a breathtaking back drop for this family oriented affair. The rain didn’t dampen Marissa & Jed’s spirits one little bit – in fact, they were positively glowing.

Marissa and Jed had a full blown wedding weekend with 40 of their closest friends and family at the luxurious Dunton Hot Springs Resort outside of Telluride, Colorado. They rented out the ENTIRE resort with each guest staying in different cabins on the property.

From Jenna:
Marissa & Jed are the type of people that seem to always be present in the moment. Spend some time with them and it becomes clear that these are people who hold their passions close and their friendships even closer. They are true of heart, no doubt. So many stories emerged as I watched their day unfold – they fly by the seat of their pants just as well as they anticipate, laugh hard and love much.

Marissa scouted Etsy for the past year to find everything chic…so colorful! From mismatching parasols to unique fabrics that would adorn the flowers.

Following a rainy ceremony, came both a rainbow AND a saloon-style reception…both sights to be seen. Mountain-rustic meets french-country meets pure-elegance…there are no words to describe the ambience of their reception. We were so impressed by the mood of the room. The plates, each featuring a different animal, were part of collection that had been hand-collected over the past year, along with vintage candelabras and unique statuettes. The table names ranged from Horse to Bird to Dragonfly. As a takeaway, guests were given their plate at the end of the night, wrapped and ready to go.

Be sure to check out the SMP gallery for even more of this lovely wedding and those spectacular mountain views.
Congrats Marissa and Jed on such a charming wedding and special thanks to photographer extraordinaire Jenna Walker for sharing your talent with us!

Oh my goodness I REALLY love this. This would've been my husband's dream wedding... if my husband dreamed of weddings :)
Honestly, rain clouds make the most beautiful photos : )
I love this wedding...especially the idea of the takeaway vintage plates!
I am so in love with this wedding. Beyond. Actually a little jealous. Great job!
Love love the umbrellas - and you made rain ROCK! Great job.
I also love the umbrellas! We are getting married in the RAINIEST place in Canada, Tofino, so I will definitely start looking for some cute umbrellas like these. Just so pretty
This is such an amazing wedding! Amazing design, details and fantastic photography!
Gorgeous!
so so so cute. i love the concept of a mountain wedding. intimate and imaginary.
Amazing photos! I love the one of the two of them walking off into the woods!
That photo where the couple's at the center kind of reminds you of that latest Lars Von Trier film. But less creepy. The photos just struck you dumb and agape. Which is good, right?
I love this. I love when I look at pictures and I feel like I was there. Absolutely beautiful
This is my favorite wedding on SMP ever! I certainly got some good ideas for my own ;) Thanks for featuring this classy, charming wedding in the gorgeous mountains of Colorado!!!
