Hollywood Hills Engagement Session

Our final pit stop on the engagement session train is with uber cute couple Erica and Benji. This lovely duo traipsed around Beachwood Canyon with their friend and photographer extraordinaire, Tamar Levine. The Hollywood sign made for a beautiful backdrop but my favorite element hands down...the lips. Although, the name candles are pretty cute too. Hmmm, tough call on the faves, but none the less this is one super duper gorgeous walk...

Los Angeles Engagement by Sarah Yates

Sarah Yates happens to be one of my ALL TIME favorite photographers. Her work is so dreamy and magical and this next set of engagement photos is no exception. There are no balloons, no bicycles... just a handsome couple, fields for days and insane light. Farah and Izhat traveled all the way from Singapore to shoot their engagement session with Sarah and I think it was well worth the long flight.

Engagement Session by Kristen Marie Photography

Oh Engagement Sessions, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways – for your textured tights, your cute as a button couples and your fun vintage props. Feel the love? I definitely do. Wedding season must be upon us because we are filled to the brim with adorable engagement sessions on SMP today. Starting off the e-athon are Brittney and Kenny captured by Kristen Marie Photography. The couple wanted a 40's vibe mixed with a more...

Los Angeles Wedding by Kristin Banta

We feature a ton of really girly weddings on SMP with pretty details that are as sweet as they are chic. But, traditionally "pretty" isn't the only style that we love. In fact, we kind of fall in love over and over again with wedding after wedding. Whether it's modern, whether it's vintage, whether it's...

Napa Valley Wedding – Floral Inspiration Shoot

It's been said that "Bread feeds the body, but flowers feed also the soul".  It's true, isn't it?  Flowers are an intrinsic part of wedding ceremonies and receptions and with good reason - they're stinkin' gorgeous!  Truth is that I'm rather horrible at remembering the names of flowers but that's where amazing professionals like Jaime Giorgi of The Monkey Flower Group come in extremely handy.  She's the heart and soul...

E-Session by Kim Le Photography

Next up, we have two of the girliest bits of inspiration you've ever seen...starting with this absolutely darling e-session that Kim Le sent our way. I rarely feature engagement sessions, only because I rarely see really new and innovative shoots. But this one, well, it's all about the pretty. Which you know I can't resist.

Giveaway by Franklin + Gower!

When I was down in Palm Beach at the Wedding Party Event at the Breakers, I came across this little company called Franklin + Gower. When I tell you I fell in love, well, you have no idea. Paco, one of the adorable faces behind the brand was serving up margaritas and bragging about his totally brag worthy collection of men's attire...and I fell hard. Complete with customized detailing in fabrics that will make you swoon, it's the...

Arizona Wedding by Sedona Bride

I really have no words for today's first featured affair. Which is weird because I usually have words for everything. And I mean everything. But this wedding, photographed by the always incredible Andrew and Katrina of Sedona Bride, simply took my breath away. The simplicity, the joy, the edited but totally romantic style. It's beyond beautiful.

Wrap It Up Pretty

Oh, Friday! You creeped up on us once again, and this time with a beautiful weekend weather forecast! We Bostonians were beginning to think that sunshine only existed in other people's weddings. I heard someone say the other day, that "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb," and I can hear the sounds of March brides rejoicing! Whatever your plans are this weekend, we hope it includes fun, sun and some pretty, of course!

California DIY Vintage Wedding

Cuteness knows no bounds when it comes to DIY weddings.  This is especially true of this adorable Californian wedding sent to us by Shannon Leith, a fun-loving and talented photographer.   It's a cuteness party.  And we're invited.

I really got a kick out of the gorgeous vintage touches that Jared and Claire (our bride and groom) incorporated into their style.  Combined with the antique lace accents, vibrant flora, flag...

Engagement Session by Brightwood Photography

There are things in life that really get my goat* in a good way - easily at the top of that list would be puppies, chalkboards and old pick-up trucks . (I grew up in Tennessee, hence the love for the trucks). That's why when the completely adorable couple, Amira & Brandon, passed along their engagement pictures I thought two things: 1.)I love them (& their fantastic photographer) and 2.)They knew exactly what elements to use in their...

From Inspiration to Reality: The Design

I've been working with Viola at chewing the cud for a long time. She is the talent behind our new logo, our header and so much more. So, although I wasn't terribly surprised that her From Inspiration to Reality shoot turned out this spectacular, I was still completely and totally blown away. I think I actually cried a little bit. Together with vendors like Atelier Joya...
