Okay, two very important things about this next wedding. One. The designer, Kristin Banta is awesome. She’s crazy talented, insanely sweet AND she just happens to be the official event designer for…wait for it…Patti Stanger, THE MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER! Which is like ridiculously cool considering I am a huge fan and watch the show every week. And two. It’s another gorgeous ballroom wedding! Big yay. So, although I could go on and on about one and two, instead, I’ll just get to the really good stuff.

The wedding was held at the Greek Orthodox Church of Santa Barbara. Guests were bused from Bacara to the church, followed by a catered Greek cocktail hour and a performance by a Cretan duo giving guests the opportunity to dance in the church courtyard overlooking the hills of Santa Barbara. Guests were then bused back to Bacara for a second cocktail hour followed by an 8 hour reception in the Bacara ballroom featuring The Jay Sterling Band, a performance by Michael Jackson impersonator Dev Gregory and a late night performance by the Spazmatics. Guests entered the reception which was completely transformed into a Mediteranean Villa’s Piazza with twenty 23ft pepper trees and olive trees. The bride & groom entered on horses and did a choreographed version of the Jai-ho along with 10 members of their bridal party. Square and round tables were utilized featuring custom blue/gray full linens as well as runners on long raw wood tables, white square Provencal chargers, mixed hemstitch and paisley napkins, Bella Chameleon chairs and collections of multiple hurricanes and varied arrangements featuring apricots, cumquats, figs and olive branches. The space featured Tuscan lounge vignettes and a stage front that was detailed with overgrown creeping fig. The night ended with butler passed In n Out and chocolate shakes at 3am. The final day guests were treated to a tented brunch on the lawn looking over the lawn with an all white draped tent, white table and chairs with white linens, white lounge vignettes and bright pops of yellow sunflowers on each table.

Oh! This is just gorgeous! I'm swooning over the cake, the colours, the florals, artichokes in a jar! That deserves a w00t w00t for pure originality!
Where is the dress in that first picture from? Are there any other pictures?
I love the ocean blue color of the linens. It matches nicely with the existing carpet in the ballroom.
that short dress hanging from the tree is delicious!!! was it a reception dress?
Gorgeous as always Kristen!!
Love this wedding - gorgeous photographs and I love the subtle and soft color palette!
There are two more photos in the photo gallery of the adorable flower girls and guys. The link is below the last image. Just precious!
"JUST MARRIED!" sign is so CUTE.
Where is the flower girl dress from? It's amazing!!!
Does anyone know where to get those "Just Married" type signs? They are SO cute!
it's so great that they brought the outdoor look inside the ballroom to personalize it. love that!
I too would love to know where that lovely pink dress is from!
I love her color combinations. Its not the typical blue and red...purple and green...Everything is just perfect! Liking the long tables..
Love the pictures! I would also love to know where the "Just Married" sign is from!
I love these chairs! (Among everything else!) How are people feeling bout chivare chairs these days? Are they considered dated? Still can't help but to love them but a friend informed me of this??
I would die to have that flower girl dress... please share where it's from!
Another request for where the flower girl dress is from.
And the just married signs too : )
I personally love the chairs and I don't think they are dated! I'm having them at my own wedding in May!
I got married on the grounds of the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church - such a beautiful venue and you can see clear out to the ocean on a beautiful sunny day! Thanks for sharing!
Are the trees just part of the ballroom decor at that venue? Or were they brought in specially?
Please, where is the pink dress in the first picture from? I love it!
Please give us more details on that to-die-for flower girl frock!!! Pretty please?
you can find instructions for a diy version of the "just married" sign on martha stewart weddings, and I too am dying for more pictures and info on the flower girl dress (I want to recreate it in my size and in peacock blue for this Halloweens masquerade ball)
I'm glad you all liked this wedding! This was one of our favorite weddings of last year and I truly had so much fun designing it for the couple!
As for the flowergirl dress, call Zoe at 626-664-5396, the website is: www.belleoftheball.net - so cute, right?
And as for the trees - I brought all the trees in specially for this event. They were actually all hand built onsite as was as the creeping fig stage front.
The chairs are Chameleon chairs which are super comfortable and really pretty - this particular line of Chameleon chairs, the Bella Fleur in Mahogany, is my favorite right now as it is a nice alternative to the Chiavari chair which is used so frequently now and this one has a great residential quality.
That little Just Married sign can easily be reproduced with string and paper. Print big block letters on cardstock, then cut out the letters in a rectangle shape with the block letter at the bottom, blank space on top so they can be folded over like a tented table card. Fold the rectangle in half over the string, then glue both sides together with the string at the top. I hope that makes sense.
Good luck and happy planning! Thanks again for all the wonderful feedback.
Warmest regards,
Kristin Banta of Kristin Banta Events
The venue is really stunning. The designer did an amazing job with this.
