Jessamyn Harris: Sonoma County Engagement Shoot

March 24th. 2010 by Eddye | Filed Under | 10 comments

Engagement shoots have become one of my own personal favorites to share with you guys! As I go through the images, I try to imagine which of the shots will end up displayed on the couple’s walls. MANY times, I can imagine them on my own walls!! The scenery is ALWAYS gorgeous and the couples’ love for each other is SO obvious. They’re always such feel good moments. So, today’s featured couple ~ Annie and Kevin ~ from one of our favorite LBB photographer’s ~ Jessamyn Harris … quite literally COULD end up on my wall! Because they really do make me feel GOOD.

from Jessamyn ~ Annie and Kevin’s engagement shoot at a private residence outside of Petaluma (Sonoma County), California … The ranch where we did the shoot had so many beautiful nooks and crannies available to us, it was amazing! I feel like the moss and ancient oak trees give the shoot a very romantic, southern feel. Annie and Kevin were not only gorgeous but really fun and a little goofy, so there was a lot of emotion to work with – plus their outfits were super cute. Annie altered her vintage dress (I think it had been her grandmother’s), and Kevin had a great vintage looking suit. We kept the shoot pretty simple, using only champagne and Valentine’s treats from Viola Pastry Boutique as props, but I think that their personalities and the beautiful location really shine through.

Ahhhhh!!! I love the location!! Do we know if they host weddings?
The bench with moss all over it? Perfect. It is like an untouched castle or something.

I'm so glad you guys are loving this shoot! It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately they do NOT host weddings - it's a private residence, and I think working ranch, but they're totally not set up for or interested in events. I know, I wish! Sorry to disappoint :)

    Hi Jessamyn,
Would they host another photoshoot? I would love to get my engagement pics there!
    Thanks,
    Leslie

Hi Jen. The dress was actually my grandmother's, I am not even sure what decade it is from! As for more engagement sessions, unfortunately I do not think the owners are interested. So sorry! Glad everyone loved the site though, it is that much more beautiful in summer!
